    Pros

Great group of officers and staff to work with and for. I enjoy dealing with the wide range of ethnic backgrounds of all our customers, guest and team members.

    Cons

Pay is lower then what it should be for our department for everything we deal with and do for the hospital, but there are lower gigs out there.

I have been working at North Memorial Health part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

It has been my experience that the leaders I work with are approachable and respectful. Leadership seems to understand that employees have home lives/family and promote work/life balance. Most of my co-workers form a supportive team, lending a helping hand whenever asked.
North Memorial challenges employees with the unique task of providing unmatched customer service to all customers (patients and their families). This makes up a culturally diverse pool of people with a variety of needs and preferences. The urban/suburban location perfectly supports this diversity.

    Cons

Busy, fast-paced, and sometimes overwhelming workload on some floors. I frequently have worked through my lunch break AND stayed late in order to try to complete required tasks while maintaining the provision of unmatched customer service.

    Advice to Management

Keep your doors, ears, and hearts open. Feeling supported at work is a major reason to want to keep coming back! Continue to focus on the big picture while still being attuned to staff feedback.

I worked at North Memorial Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits. Good wages and very nice pay raise. This company is very concerned with the care of patients and even rewards employees who take good care of people.

    Cons

I really found the processes I of bidding on shifts stressful as new people who bid last have no idea if they will be working days, nights, overnights or even a combination within the same week. It wouldn't be so bad but you rebid every six months.

    Advice to Management

Stability in shifts would be helpful

I worked at North Memorial Health (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Union job so pay is above average, work at home one day per week

    Cons

Extremely negative environment - Management is conservative/behind in the times; they are not open to new ideas or any change. Heavy work load. Employees are expected to not talk to each other at all, 3 supervisors per employee with 'rounding' or being written up every 3-4weeks

    Advice to Management

The only way it will change is if the current managers retire and new management is brought in who encourage employee collaboration, and gives not only negative feedback to employees, but positive, constructive criticism as well.

    Pros

Great company to work for. I have worked at both the hospital and at our clinics.

    Cons

Some of the units are very clicky and are difficult to work in due to personality conflicts.

    Advice to Management
