I have been working at North Range Behavioral Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Intensive effort to reduce stigma of mental illness and addiction
    Everyday participation in people's recovery
Opportunities to outreach to other agencies and organizations

    Cons

Variance in level of engagement from managers
Teams operate in silo - encourages an "us" vs. "them" mentality among some teams

    Advice to Management

The people who work here do so because they have a desire to help their clients - try to find more opportunities to compensate them for their work, or risk losing good people

    Pros

    Amazing Staff- Very Welcoming
Managers genuinely care about the development of staff
Administrative team is very helpful and supportive
    Great Medical Benefits for Employees

    Cons

The location of the main office isn't near any restaurants for lunch(but a company does come in to sell sandwiches, salads, etc.)

    Advice to Management

Continue to implement the new salary adjustments- it will go a long way in retaining top talent

Continue to expand on the private practice and integrated care models

I have been working at North Range Behavioral Health full-time

    Pros

This Community Mental Health Center has a great group of Medical Providers, therapists and ancillary staff. Benefits are excellent. Time off to attend CME conferences. Good benefits.

    Cons

Honestly, it is hard to think of any downside to working at this facility. Many counselors get there start at this facility as their is a University in the town that has a Master's level counseling program.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work you are doing for the greater Greeley community.

Uncertain future due to changes at state level, but will weather this.

I have been working at North Range Behavioral Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The management really cares about the employees and clients all the way up through the CEO who is a social worker himself. The company culture is very giving and supportive. Continued education and training are offered.

    Cons

The only downside I've seen is the location - it's not terribly convenient to run out for lunch if you don't choose to take a full hour. Kitchens/break rooms are on-site though so there are nice amenities. Greeley also has a lot to offer in terms of culture and activities.

    Advice to Management

The only area I would recommend improving is communication. It can be difficult because employees are located in so many different facilities.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at North Range Behavioral Health as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is friendly & willing to answer questions. Interns are given really valuable, real world experience

    Cons

Communication and expectations aren't always clear. There is some confusion regarding client rules (what is/isn't allowed)

    Advice to Management

Give some kind of formal training to your interns, and try to improve communication with all employees

    Pros

Great need for services, very busy

    Cons

Just about everything wrong an employer can do happens here. Slave-owner mentality. Very, very low pay, not accepting of suggestions or willing to communicate. Exceptionally behind the times and it will always be that way. Hostile work environment, women are treated like dirt by the men, pretty fake benefits (not as they appear at all), no security, employees have extremely stressful jobs but are not supported at all, insistent on taking 100 steps to do what the rest of the world could do in 10. Business revolve around management's personalities and length of employment rather that management putting the services and needs of the patients first. Extremely high turn-over.

    Advice to Management

Stop posting reviews to bump up the ratings. Upper management and marketing staff should be ashamed. It's 2014 in the world, not 1984, thought you should know that.

I worked at North Range Behavioral Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of opportunities for learning & training. Diverse range of programs & community connections are beneficial for both employees & clients. Fun co-workers.

    Cons

The pay and benefits could definitely be better, but that is somewhat expected in this field. The location is less than ideal.

I worked at North Range Behavioral Health full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Rules and office codes are lax. Attendance/lateness not enforced (that's good or bad, depending on what type of employee you are). Dress code very casual. Co-workers and directors helpful and encouraging. Staff compassionate toward clients and at times go out of their way to help. Great benefits. Regular email reports from the CEO.

    Cons

Poor infrastructure affects work flow, time to respond to crisis, budget and training new employees. Too many on staff willing to "pass the buck" and not enough responsible actions. IT department has 4 employees that need to support over 500 staff!!! Old software programs are not accurate and creates errors, which create paperwork nightmares. Hourly pay is on the low side, considering the type of work and stress involved.

    Advice to Management

Learn what each department is doing so there's no overlap and each can compliment the other, build on each other. Have more checks in place throughout the system to catch errors in processing such as billing, insurance paperwork, etc. And clients charts!
