It's all about the bottom line

    Pros

I worked at the Remote ER's and that was the best. Not overwhelmingly busy and more of a family atmosphere between coworkers.

    Cons

Working at the main hospital was hell. They work their employee's to death and don't staff like they should. The pay doesn't reflect the work they want from you and it is glaringly obvious that the bottom line is all that really matters, not the staff. The PTO accumulation is low for it to be vacation and sick time and to be sick gets you in trouble with the supervisor putting you down and questioning you. Even having it made at the Remote's, I chose to leave for that very reason.

    Pros

Great case management team, great medical staff to work with

    Cons

Most of the patients due to the population have a lot of needs, case loads are heavy. Rarely able to take a lunch. Not a lot of support from management.

    Love the Nursing Staff

    Pros

Loved the staff I worked with daily from nurses and practitioners to nuclear med. People here genuinely care about their job and their patients. Very team oriented. Good work/ life balance of you have the advocacy to stand up and speak for yourself, no one ever made me guilty for not picking up extra.

    Cons

Patient population is demanding on nursing staff. If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. You have the greatest staff to back you up though. Some of the management cares more about their own friendships and elevating those who they are buddy buddy with. Felt at times I was put in dangerous unsafe positions by managerial decisions.
