I worked at NorthEast Treatment full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Gain experience, looks great on resume

    Cons

Will have you working three different jobs but will only pay you for one. A lot of working over time and not getting paid for it because it's a salary job. Very high turn over rate and always understaffed.

I worked at NorthEast Treatment full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Flexible hours. That's about all I can say.

    Cons

Jerked me around on vacation pay; low pay -- only 1 salary increase in 4 years. Relied on small annual bonus to motivate staff. Family benefits expensive.

    Advice to Management

Get some decent HR help. Pay people actual money. Offer affordable medical benefits.

I have been working at NorthEast Treatment full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The clients seeing their constant change like a watching a caterpillar evolve into a beautiful butterfly. Builds tough skin for a new counselor like myself.

    Cons

Management is clueless and not patient centered they could care less if our clients had death in the family, or a major life event. I have been here for 90 days and have received no training. My manager seems to be a nervous wreck. They don't value the concept of a life outside of Net. Each client is seen a money sign. I watch counselors fight hard to advocate for our clients only to see those counselor get targeted harassed and belittled an fired. I been here for 90 days and I already looking. Stay away.

    Advice to Management

Clients are people yes they are expected to make money for a agency. Just remember without the clients the agency will not exist. The UNION NEEDS TO COME IN MAYBE THEN UPPER MANAGEMENT WILL GET THE WAKE UP CALL THEY NEED TO RESPECT THE OPIONIONS AND NEEDS OF THEIR STAFF.

I have been working at NorthEast Treatment full-time

    Pros

Exposure to culturally rich and complex populations.

    Cons

Working within the continuum of a broken behavioral health infrastructure in which your clinical impact is not always felt in spite of tireless efforts. I am disappointed in the lack of collaboration and treatment continuity, particularly between agencies and between the different disciplines within the company.

    Advice to Management

Develop an infrastructure in which there is a precedence on providing intensive, family centered, multidisciplinary intervention for children and their families.

    Pros

Excellent communication between supervisor and constituent. She was always there when I needed to vent or just discuss my cases .

    Cons

Case load heavy and consider to be drop from 17 to 10 cases so case managers can be more productive and give families more quality time for monthly and weekly visits.

    Advice to Management

Consider keeping the cases at 10 no more the 13 to be counter productive.

Long hours, heavy case loads. Court reporting is also a hassle if your new or seasoned.
