    Pros

    Cons completely outweigh the pros.

    Cons

High stress due to management making you hit your numbers (“pay for performance”). Feels like you’re in sales. Big guys don’t care about the quality of care or the people served, nor the people keeping the business afloat (clinicians). Any new hires are second tier employees working for a different private company (called Erigo), are treated as such, and do not get state benefits. Paid time off is held against you financially. Crappy crappy pay. Independent clinicians don’t get paid much more than non-independent clinicians. They expect you to perform without proper training... basically throw you to the wolves. Sad because it used to be a good place. Says a lot when groups of former employees celebrate when someone “gets out.”

    Advice to Management

Employees aren’t leaving because “the younger generation doesn’t stick in one job long”... they’re leaving because you don’t respect their worth. Employees are afraid to tell you the truth. People want to be loyal and want to like it there but you are always making them feel like they are doing a bad job or failing. Plan of corrections (which many clinicians are on) are morally demeaning and do not serve as positive motivation. Value your people and they’d stay. And for goodness sake, give them true paid time off, not making it hurt their pay-for-performance numbers if you take time off.

I have been working at NorthKey Community Care full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The pros for working at Northkey are mostly the employees that you work with. This kind of field is very high stress so knowing you have people that have your back helps. Pay is average and annual raises are not given. The company instead does a contingency check which is typically over 5% of your total salary. Another pro is knowing at the end of the day you really help people. That's always a plus.

    Cons

Cons of the place is high stress due to the population it takes care of. They are often irritable or down right mean. Also there is a high turnover rate so sometimes extra work is placed on your plate that you did not initially agree too.
The pay is not impressive, especially if you have a college degree. PTO is average until you stay past 5 years but who will work somewhere that long to get more PTO?
    Insurance is also average.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees and work on employee retention.

    Pros

    Opportunity to help clients.

    Cons

Worst leadership I've ever seen. Uncaring, incommunicative and arrogant. Awful pay and benefits and no effort at all to do anything about it. Terrible working conditions in some of the facilities to

    Advice to Management

Leave and let someone who wants to try to make it a good place to work do it

    Pros

Great pay for entry level/field of work, decent benefits, good vacation time, flexible schedule, young/fun staff, fulfilling work, yearly bonus (9% in 2016)

    Cons

No annual raises (yearly bonus given instead), low mileage reimbursement compared to state

    Advice to Management

Continue listening to employee feedback and pushing benefits to keep employees long term. While some decisions made over the years have been tough the company is stronger than it's ever been.

    Pros

    None. None. None. None. None.

    Cons

A great place to work if you like low pay, dirty conditions, management with egos the size of Texas, and be treated like gum on the bottom of manager's shoes!

    Advice to Management

Stop acting like you're gods just because you couldn't make it at any other company. Actually discipline management for acting like jerks instead of rewarding them. Train people and quit threatening them that they're going to lose their jobs. Quit acting like you're such a great company and then treating your employees like crap.

    Pros

co-workers, clients. Currently the position in on a pay for performance scale or in simplest terms, by each billable case. It works well for each case manager in this role as they have more than what the minimum is. You can see all of your clients, typically not hard unless they are sick.

    Cons

Management, upper management for IDD has no idea how to use the EHR here...
Supervisor is not very knowledgeable about her role or the paperwork that is entailed, typically has to call on the experience of other case workers to fulfill her role. Supervisor has been known to throw others under the bus when things do not go to her plan. She will not allow case manager's to call adult protective even if it is necessary. Paperwork trail is horrendous, you do triple the work to ensure it is on each site. Pay currently is higher than other agencies around, but benefits are terrible. less than 2 weeks PTO, hardly any PTO accrual, insurance is outrageous.

    Advice to Management

trust your employees!! Allow your employees to talk to other management position players, often times it is for team building..not to hurt or threaten your position. Also, your employees typically know how to handle themselves, allow them to bounce ideas off you without becoming passive aggressive.
