    Positive Outlook

I have been working at NorthWest Research Associates full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Fantastic work environment, family friendly. Smart, well-adjusted people.

    Cons

There are not as many opportunities for growth, as there would be in a larger company.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at NorthWest Research Associates (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company has good benefits, and working in a research oriented environment is very satisfying. The principal investigators own and operate the company.

    Cons

The principal investigators own and operate the company. Their clients is mainly the federal government. One part of the company does well while the other more basic research oriented part suffers from declining government spending on research.

    Advice to Management

Be more open to change. The company and the office culture seems stuck in the 1980s. There is still a paper printout of the employees' telephone numbers handed out. Management could benefit from fresh blood and new ideas.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

NWRA is a well-run company that cares about the individuals who work here. Many people have stayed with the company for most of their careers. The benefits are great.

    Cons

The only con, for some people, would be that as a small company there is not always opportunities for advancement. There are always opportunities to learn new things, however.
