I love that Northside was able to train me straight out of nursing school! I’ve always had a passion for maternal newborn care and northside has done a wonderful job of providing me with the environment I need to grow in my field. Even after I moved further away I stayed at northside due to the overall pros of my position and the benefits at northside.

I do wish that the benefits covered a little bit more. However, having other benefits such as an FSA/HSA balance it out.

Training could be better, but I know its due to COVID. Patient is needed during the pandemic.

Northside hospital has wonderful company benefits including matching a percent of 401(b) contributions and pension plan. The employees are well trained and very knowledgeable.

Benefits are excellent including tuition reimbursement within first year of employment and tuition loan payback after 2 years of employment. Benefit package is highly competitive. There are many continuing education opportunities offered. Management is supportive of the staff. Easy to plan time off. Opportunities for promotion and transfer within Northside.

As with most major hospitals in large metropolitan areas, the walk to the parking lot is a bit long, but at least it's free.

Great benefits package and they are one of the very few company's that still offer a pension plan. I get to help people everyday that has received a diagnosis that I'm pretty sure they would have rather not. I am so thankful to be able to help!

I don't have any cons. Plus I like to focus on the positives and if there is a negative I'd rather figure out a way to turn it into a positive.

If you want to be talked to any kind of way and in an unprofessional environment where leadership talks down to you and about others to you then join the team. The department does not align with the corporate goals and professionalism. Had I known I would have never applied! Save yourself the stress and heartache and avoid this position/department it’s extremely toxic.
