Pros
Great place to work, I consider it my second home. Almost all my clinical hours during nursing school were spent here so once I graduated as a RN I knew I wanted to be here! It allows you to have a healthy work life balance which is needed to prevent burnouts.
Cons
It might not be the best pay.

Northside Hospital is an awesome place to work. The company is very engaged in community projects and initiatives. My department provides great work life balance and the overall culture of the organization makes you want to stay here. the compensation is great also. I love working at Northside!

I can't think of any cons to report. It would also be great to see Northside expand to the east side of metro Atlanta

Great place to work!

I have worked here for around a year and a half and it is an overall a great place to work. I work PRN therefore I get to choose the dates that I work so the work/life balance is not a problem for me. They offer good benefits for both part time and full time employees. There is great communication between management and leaders. They make sure that their employees are taken care of in all aspects.

Northside is a wonderful place to work. Northside offers great work life balance and I truly feel like I am contributing to an overall greater good. I also work with some amazing people, the environment that I work in fosters productivity and growth.
Cons
The most value is placed on clinical positions and nurses, which is great if you are a nurse or someone clinical. If you are not, your benefits and sometimes even your pay suffer.

Northside definitely has very high standards for clinical excellence however it does take a village. That village includes ALL employees both clinical and non-clinical. We hear your opinion and are working hard to show appreciation to all employees.

Pros
No pros unless you like no life
Cons
Very demanding the management staff is very disrespectful they do not care about the safety of the employee or having a work/life balance. Not flexible at all when it comes to time. Thinks everyone wants to be at work at 5a every day not willing to budge to have later start times or shifts of 9a or 10a. Thinks it is funny when some of the staff got stuck overnight on the hwy during the last ice storm. Instead of ensuring the staff left in time to make it home they force employee's to stay to get bills out the door. Northside isn't very good with self-pay patients either. They don't want uninsured patients at their facilities, so stay away if you don't have money to pay. Northside doesn't pay fair either, they will hire someone off the streets paying more money to them instead of paying their current workers on the same scale. The business office has a very high turn over and is very stressful due to the demands and the show of disrespect by management.

The only con for me at Northside Hospital is the traffic around the Sandy Springs area and that is almost unavoidable in the Atlanta market!
