Great place to work if you don't mind the low pay.

    Pros

Excellent commitment to patient care and experience. People generally seem to be happy working at Northside. Work environment is positive.

    Cons

For the work required, the pay is very low. They say there are merit raises, but in actuality, the increase only covers the increase in the cost of benefits. There is no financial incentive for doing a great job. Chronically short-staffed which saves money, but is difficult on employees that are stretched too thin.

    Pros

Fast communication if you need any help or have any questions regarding onboarding, especially from HR. Great environment with compassionate staff.

    Cons

Depending on department/area working at Northside, sometimes communication of certain information may be confusing within employment on-boarding; knowing what needs to be done and reminders

Northside is my Pride and Joy

    Pros

Northside Hospital is my pride and joy because you have the opportunity to grow and growing in your carrier gives you the knowledge and opportunity to be your best while providing your services and care to our patients. It is the place to be because I have worked for NSH for 22+ years and still loving it.

    Cons

There are more pros working at Northside that you never have the opportunity to look for the cons. I always try to see the positive. That keeps me grateful. I had to crack my brain for a little while to think about the cons because that is what this section is all about. Is driving for about a total of 60miles in traffic every morning to Northside and every afternoon/evening back home a con? I guess the answer is yes, but because of the love I have for Northside hospital, I have never really sat down to analyze that. Just grateful for the opportunity I have for being in the NSH Team.

    Pros

I have been here at Northside for 12 years. Throughout my employment I have had the opportunity to work with a large variety of diagnoses. While working at Northside I have been able to continue to grow and develop my clinical skills. The Rehabilitation Department has created a fun, supportive, progressive environment.

    Cons

Northside Atlanta is located in the heart of Sandy Springs. As with most areas of Atlanta, traffic can be an issue.

    Pros

I always say hello to every employee and volunteer. 99% of the time every one of them will greet back and it gives the work place an inviting atmosphere. I enjoy working at Northside (FCC) because I am treated like family and staff members communicate with each other respectfully. I appreciate everything that the Nurses and Tech’s do for me and they appreciate what I do for them. Also, the benefits at Northside is great. Not a lot of companies provide a Pension plan.

    Cons

There are no downsides of working at Northside.

    Friendliest Hospital In Georgia

    Apr 15, 2021 - Administrative Secretary
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

The first thing I noticed when I began working at Northside was how pleasant and friendly everyone was - from Environmental Services to the Administrative Office and in between. I have Northside to be a professional organization whose staff works tirelessly for their patients and to be the most quality compliant hospital possible.

    Cons

The only con I have experienced is some of the training was very limited as an administrative New Hire.
