    Neutral Outlook

    Pros

Helping patients, the best nurses & really great doctors

    Cons

Admin likes to "reorganize" job responsibilities & no increase in pay; they don't listen to or address employee issues; rules apply to everyone, but mgmt. & very poor communication

    Advice to Management

Ask employees for their opinions/thoughts/ideas & input. Better communication - no more secrets. Rules apply to everyone. Lighten up, it might improve overall moral

I have been working at Northwest Oncology & Hematology full-time

    Pros

Generous PTO, many staff members have been there for over 15 years, tuition reimbursement, monthly meetings to discuss any issues that may arise, patients are treated with dignity and respect from the moment they walk in the door until they are finished with our services, there are systems in place to give the patients as much financial assistance as we can possibly find

    Cons

The company is run on a skeleton staff level, meaning all employees are overworked, many of whom never got any training for the random duties that get added on to their prior job role every time someone leaves the company. There are too few nurses to answer patient questions and monitor treatments, sometimes making the patients wait a long time to get treated or their question answered. Management likes to play lip service to the idea of innovation and hearing the employees' opinions, but anything outside the status quo will be belittled and any issues brought forth will be gaslit and dismissed rather than discussed. When the opportunity for a new position arises, which is not often as the company prefers to hire outside when able to do so, It can take over 6 months for a person to actually get their promotion; this is due to the great trouble the company has at retaining new hires for lower level positions.

    Advice to Management

When complaining about how the ACA will cost the company so much money that they cannot afford to fill the positions of those who retire or leave, and can only manage meager raises for loyal, hardworking staff, its in poor taste to turn around and purchase yourself a Maserati. Additionally, verbally reminding your employees that they are replaceable at least once a month is bad for morale.
