I worked at Northwest Pipe full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

None, absolutely not one. Executive teams are cluesless to what really goes on.

    Cons

No clear path for the future, executives don’t see the hidden cost with rack fill revenue...... millions worth of over production.

    Advice to Management

    Open your eyes.

    Pros

When there is a contract, great opportunity for overtime.

    Cons

Constant lay-offs and re-hires. Work is not consistent. Favoritism towards Hispanic employees. Highly political.

    Advice to Management

Work load, pay and maintained job status should be based on an employees job performance and abilities. Not nationality.

I worked at Northwest Pipe full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Overtime is always there if you need it even if you don't want it.

    Cons

Management is never satisfied with your work. Unfair pay. Tons of favoritism. Employees get in trouble for management screw ups. Hostile work environment. Management will screw you over if you're not careful. Zero advancement if you don't know anybody in management. Extremely dirty even for a welding shop. Too dark to see anything. This company is not worth working for no matter what the pay is.

    Advice to Management

    Doesn't matter "they're always right"

I worked at Northwest Pipe part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The hourly folks were great people and hard workers.mmm

    Cons

During my time there the organization was closing entire plants and doing lay offs. Everyone up the ladder created an environment of self centeredness and back stabbing, instead of one of teamwork and support.

    Advice to Management

    Nope, would not matter...
