I have been working at Northwestern Medicine full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits package, large resource facility with loads of support once you've entered the system.

    Cons

Communication amongst administrative professionals is heavily reliant on Outlook email communication. Accountability on follow through of tasks is challenging through this system.

I have been working at Northwestern Medicine full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I love working for Northwestern Medicine! The culture is inviting and positive and they like to promote from within. If you are ready for a change, there are always opportunities to change positions and try something new. Compensation is mediocre, but is made up for in benefits.

    Cons

The interviewing and overall hiring process takes a while and can be frustrating for new hires. Also the pay scales could be adjusted, there are several positions that are grossly underpaid. There have also been many times where the department I work for has been severely under staffed.

I have been working at Northwestern Medicine full-time

    Pros

working in a research hospital gives opportunities you don't get at non academic institutions

    Cons

Working in a lab is not an area a patient sees, so the labs are not priority when equipment needs fixing or general maintenance in the space
