I worked at Northwestern Polytechnic University part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

This is a student job and provides you a wide experience to interact with various students across globe and also helps you to have an experience for teaching.

    Cons

Even though it gives you good experience as a teaching assistant, sometimes you feel like the pay is not worth for the work given by professors. So, I think the pay can be raised a little bit

    Advice to Management

Please maintain proper administration such that there will not be any issues for students who come this university and also who graduate from this university.

I worked at Northwestern Polytechnic University part-time

    Pros

Flexible time. You can choose your preferred section matching your schedule. If you just want some extra income, it's a perfect place to go.

    Cons

Students with basis below average. Need to build their knowledge from scratch. The campus can barely help you with materials and syllabus.

    Advice to Management

Improve the management of instructors. Better instructors should be awarded and those who just sit there and doing nothing should be applied a penalty.

    Pros

Nothing to say wrt Pros. It is a sham.

    Cons

    1) Quality of students is really poor. Most of the students are from India and China who couldn't get into any other university. NPU is a sham/scam and should be investigated more by the Federal Government and accreditation agencies. The setup is worse than a community college where I studied many years ago.

    2) Management is extremely poor. Decisions are made and they are not communicated till you hit a roadblock. Then you realize, things were changed and no one told you about it.

    3) Students act entitled and ask for unreasonable concessions - end the class 30 min before it is supposed to be over, ask professors to do a makeup midterm because they forgot to study, change the grade even when they fail. List goes on and on.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating this institution as a money making scheme and raise the standard of admissions.

    Pros

    Sometimes its a relaxing environment.

    Cons

They split your hours in a way that makes you stay there for longer but unable to go home.
I got paid for 2 hours once but it was separated with 2 hours of "break" so I ended staying at the school for 6 hours even tho they only payed me for 2.

Its not really a career building place if your looking to get your foot into being really anything. If you're expecting them to teach you skills you're out of luck.

    Advice to Management

    Try to improve the morale
