The faculty here are engaged, enthusiastic, and approachable. They're perfect to learn from and to teach alongside. The departmental administration is also quite supportive of faculty and students.

    Pros

Flexible with scheduling around classes. Reinforces material having to tutor other students.

    Cons

Low pay. Not enough to support yourself alone.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking out for the students in need of a small job while trying to finish their degree. It helped me when I needed it.

    Pros

The many of students are eager to learn and interesting to talk to in and out of classes. A large portion are new immigrants and are so happy to be getting a college education, they work really hard.

    Cons

On the other hand, some of our "American born" students are not working up to their potential and lack the drive they need to get ahead. This is really discouraging to the faculty.
