I worked at Norwegian Cruise Line full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

NCL America will pay for your U.S.C.G. Mechant Marine certs. And pay for flights to Maryland and Hawaii. I did not pay a dime to get to Hawaii with maritime certifications that I could use elsewhere.

    Cons

Horrible working conditions, violence erupted amongst employees. Union thuggery, bullying, and sexual harrassment by officers towards subordinates. Research this industry before applying. Best advice-Get them to pay for your U.S.C.G. MMC and TWIC and then when you receive them and have them fly you to Hawaii- QUIT.

    Advice to Management

Automate and save yourself the $$ on high turnover. Oh and get over yourselves.

Great Company. Good benefits. Travel perks and if you have a great supervisor or manager there's room for growth.

    Cons

Managers and supervisors don't know what they are doing. Poor management & high expectations. Noone knows what they are doing. Horrible training, no team players, cut throat, discrimination & favortism. High turnover.

    Advice to Management

    Need better management & training.
