    Pros

Local management started at the bottom and worked their way up. They remembered where they started and what it was like to be low man on the ladder.

    Cons

Corporate is all about the numbers and everyone can and will be replaced.

I worked at Norwood Promotional Products (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There was alot of overtime which was required. Last yr was 2011,

    Cons

The pay was good but there was always jobs added and you were still expected to to keep at an expected rate.

    Advice to Management

Think more of your employees. With all the overtime that is expected of you, you need to give some in return.

I worked at Norwood Promotional Products full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

It was a great company to be apart of they had pride in the service they provided for their customers.

    Cons

I was apart of one of the locations that shuttered its doors after several years of employment I like so many dound myself having to be retrained as a promotional products vendor is not located in every city.

    Advice to Management

Our location was an optimum location they should have kept us open but corporate makes all the decisions so we were closed and with that aot of customer loyalty was lost.

    Approachable and streamlines management group.

    Cons

Became stale after 2 years, was the best performing facility just after 1 year, but facility was shot down and transferred up north after being bought by BIC. Lost most of Texas business due to relocation and lack of quick turnaround for rush orders.

    Advice to Management

Reconsider reopening the San Antonio, Texas facility

    Pros

Great people! Made many friends and colleagues. Fun locations too.

    Cons

Gets very busy during the calendar season. Don't plan too many things from August through December.

    Advice to Management

Keep looking for fun and innovative ways to keep morale high during peak season. Otherwise, make sure you keep rewarding the loyal, great people who work for you.

I worked at Norwood Promotional Products full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Opportunities for OT help to brig the pay in line to support a family

    Cons

Offensive behavior (racial slurs/suggestive comments) is brushed off as "just how ______ is"
Pay is low until OT kicks in-- then it's decent
Upper management doesn't interact (speak) to floor associates
Floor associates are regularly reminded they are replaceable and referred to as "children and animals"

    Advice to Management

Show people you attach some value to them.

I worked at Norwood Promotional Products part-time

    Pros

I had no problems when I worked there. It was a part time job that worked around my school hours.

    Cons

No awful cons at all. Normal corporate office stuff. Petty office politics and what not. But really. You have that anywhere. Everyone has different agendas and is at a different point in their lives.

    Advice to Management

Give great pay, benefits and bonuses. Be open to new ideas. Don't always worry about number 1 first. All the usual stuff that is hard to do once you become a manager.
