    I worked at Not Your Average Joes full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

    - Decent pay if you can hold your own on the line -fresh high quality ingredients and dishes - gained experience in cuisine from many cultures - they internally promote - OT is possible but only if there is no other option -

    Cons

    No regard for RTO even weeks or months ahead of time - real increases in pay only awarded to prevent an employee from leaving - VERY long hours often without breaks - breaks grudgingly given or often ignored/forgotten even on 12+ hour shifts - often understaffed - unrealistic expectations of individuals, usually when changes are implemented in sanitation or food preparation procedures making them much more demanding but...

    Advice to Management

    I would suggest worrying a little more about about current employees you do have and work on developing them and keeping them there and happy as opposed to caring only about sales, surveys, and other numbers. I guarantee you keeping your turn over low and staff moral high will increase overall store efficiency and productivity and lead to growth no matter what location you are managing.
