I have been working at Nothnagle Realtors full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Nothing worth mentioning. The people can be good, but it very specific people in very specific departments. None management, but the people on the floor.

    Cons

The new parent company, Howard Hanna, is a dark overlord looming over the company. Their name will be on the building soon and with it comes their way of doing things. They are so very compartmentalized. You are given one task to do, and that is all they want. They don't like when employees become too strong. They prefer to undervalue their work force.

    Advice to Management

Give even a small bit of care to your employees. Controls for the sake of having a control are worthless.

I have been working at Nothnagle Realtors full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

IS Department Culture and communication are great, pleasure to work with everyone involved
Perks and benefits exceed industry standard for developers
Up to date development machines, monitors, etc
Open to new technologies and methods.

    Cons

    Salary is middling at best
IS Team is too small at time of review

    Advice to Management

Recent changes to IS Dept structure were very positive.
Expectations regarding what can be done overall need to be tempered, as do expectations that a 3rd party can solve problems better than internal team.

I have been working at Nothnagle Realtors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Beautiful new office building downtown

    Cons

High turn-over rate, understaffed, constant restructure of departments (in attempt to eliminate positions), poor morale and employee relations; and far below average compensation for graphic designers, administrative assistants and communications professionals

    Advice to Management

Pay fairly, hire a department of quality employees with decent salaries instead of trying to serve 700+ agents with interns/college kids and part-timers (to save on benefits and compensation), train people, encourage with incentives and positivity, keep management conflict away from staff

I worked at Nothnagle Realtors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Nothnagle is a fairly large company with decent room for moving around / advancement if interested. Free parking for employees downtown and a nice corporate facility.

    Cons

Employee morale is low. Benefits are poor (only matching $100/year to 401k plans)
The CEO undervalues those who do the work to help the agents produce which in turn makes him money. Branch offices / equipment is extremely outdated. Employees are spread too thin due to the CEO's dislike of spending money to create more positions. Admins are hired at 35 hours / week to job share in order not to pay benefits.

I worked at Nothnagle Realtors full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

At the start they had education you attended that was helpful in learning contracts. When you are starting out Nothnagles name is well known

    Cons

Monthly costs were high. No real support as an agent unless you are one of the top producers. Claim you get leads etc. Didn't happen.,

    Advice to Management

Your tools are the same for everyone today. Your education isn't the best available. People need to learn scripts and how to prospect

    Pros

It's an established business. Company is well-known in Rochester.

    Cons

Their onboarding system is configured to generate much income for Nothnagle while the new agent struggles to establish themselves. Most agents leave within the first year.
