the faculty collaborate well, are enthusiastic and great to work with. Small class sizes and great students. The campus is lovely and they are unionizing.

Administration doesn't know what they are doing. They do not understand transparency or shared governance. They don't know how to handle money.

I worked at Notre Dame de Namur full-time

    Pros

Due to the size of the school, there is a very close connection with the students and families. You are able to get to know many students by name, and really make an impact on many students' lives.

    Cons

Many members of middle management are not effective leaders and are not working towards helping students succeed. There is a lack of management helping staff grow in their positions, and staff feel like they cannot be innovative or try new things in their positions. In addition, due to low pay, the quality of staff is not always great, and there is increased turnover.

    Pros

The mission is about more than money and if that's your goal, then you're in the right place. You have to want to help students and believe that life is about more than making a buck.

    Cons

But if you want to keep up with the standard of living surrounding campus, then you're not in the right place at all as not only is the pay lower than other similar universities, it's significantly less than the area in general.
