I have been working at Nova Biomedical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly working environment, steady growing pace, very great dining cafe with delicious and affordable food, very little pressure overall.

    Cons

Very old operation style, management is arrogant and no efficient, few opportunity for career development, less competitive payment and moderate benefit, do not care about the employee's personal growth.

    Advice to Management

Create a more reliable and open environment for employee, more training to make employee stronger, encourage employee to communicate each other for the benefit of company growth.

I worked at Nova Biomedical (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Stable, growing organization with a stellar product line. R&D is churning out new products rapidly and they are innovative, game-changers. Nice career paths are possible for those who work hard with above average performance.

    Cons

Average pay and average benefits. Owners are very loyal to long term employees, sometimes to the Company's detriment.

    Advice to Management

Invest in improving the look of the HQ. It is outdated and worn. It's not okay that the ceiling leaks.

    Pros

Direct manager was a great guy. Always willing to help employees learn and develop.
    Good group of people.

    Cons

No real opportunities for growth or advancement.
Besides operators, the manufacturing group was very small so there was very little interaction between departments.
Manufacturing facility is distant from headquarters and R&D so there is minimal interaction and almost no culture.

    Advice to Management

Have employees become more familiar with the other departments.

I have been working at Nova Biomedical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Haven't felt appreciated here so I can't really say anything besides the commute is not bad.

    Cons

Doesn't take the time to make employees feel valued. Large turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with respect and you'll get more out of them, instead of having to constantly hire.

I have been working at Nova Biomedical full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Privately owned company with excellent growth potential, good 401K and health benefits. Operates on an old-school management system that takes human condition into consideration.

    Cons

Nova began as a entrepreneurial start-up and still maintains that mentality. The old-school management style is impeding progress and frustrating those who wish to enable positive change. Unless you are a sales manager, it is nearly impossible to be fired. Many who should have retired years ago are left to linger in management positions until they die.

    Advice to Management

transition the old timers out of the company and attract fresh, young talent that will make the company operate efficiently and effectively.

    Pros

    1. The employees are very family oriented (not management so much)
    2. Parking is good, right behind the building
    3. Location is good, in a Tech hub area, without being on the traffic side
    4. Cafe on site
    5. Tuition reimbursement

    Cons

    1. 2 weeks time off (includes sick and personal days)
    2. Offered tuition reimbursement, but not for online classes (even for those that traveled 50% of the time)
    3. No comp time (only applied to specific employees)
    4. Low salary increases
    5. Different policies for different employees within the same overall department

    Advice to Management

Be fair across all departments. Ensure that employees are happy and really care whether or not they are. Be loyal to the employees that are loyal to you.
