I have been working at Nova Medical Centers (Texas) full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Nova Medical Centers has really put a lot of support systems in place to ensure that our sales reps are armed with phenomenal training, resources to help facilitate the sales process and a wonderful support team at Corporate. Also, there is great support in place from our sales reps. We all help each other and provide leads and help with locations in our territories and markets. We participate in team building... activities that help keep and build morale on the teams.

    Cons

To be honest, I have been with Nova since December of 2003 and in my opinion, it is very seldom that I encounter negative aspects of this job. I know that sounds like a safe answer but I honestly couldn’t imagine working for another company.

    Advice to Management

My advice to management would be to continue supporting your sales teams. Continue with the incentive programs and team building allowances. The positive morale on our team is a direct reflection of how Corporate respects the sales force of this company.

I worked at Nova Medical Centers (Texas) full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I would have stayed with the company but got recruited to a copier company because I needed to move to another state. There is a great earning potential because the company does pay a REAL residual comissions on any business I closed, which is continuous. The ramp to start realizing comissions is at least 6 months; but this is not unusual from past jobs or where I am currently. The tenure for most reps in their more... established markets is better than anywhere I have been in the past (5yrs+). I have seen several of my peers be promoted to management. I suspect because the company is growing into other states rapidly.

    Cons

This is not an easy job! I have been in sales a long time and this is no different than most large salesforces I am acustomed too. The company will micro manage your performance. However, It worked well for me and still does at my new job. Yes...I have it here too. ALOT of sales colleugues dont like this management style. I have not seen these people last very long at any of the few sales jobs I have had. I see... sales teams moving this direction more with technology, the internet, CRM tools, etc....

    Advice to Management

I am glad to see they are promoting more people to manage the sales team. There was not enough managers for as many sales people they had.

I have been working at Nova Medical Centers (Texas) full-time

    Pros

I have been with Nova Medical Centers for over 8 years now. It has been a long and winding road with ups and downs. Typically any great thing that comes to us, costs us something. Having children equals sleepless nights, getting married equals lots of money, loving ice cream equals cellulite, you get my point. In order to be successful at Nova Medical Centers you have to put in the time and not only walk the... walk, but talk the talk. You can't just work here and say you made a sell and move on. You have to prove it and that is done by result selling (getting the business to use you in a certain time given based on certain patterns of Work Comp Industry and continuing that business). It takes days and nights in the beginning to cultivate your book of business. The reason for the nights is because during the day that is the only time to make the sales. At night is when you focus on getting new contacts. If you adhere to the models that are put in place and work hard at doing this you will be successful at Nova Medical Centers. If you are here to just coast by as a sales person this is not the job for you. If you are here to make uncapped commissions, be promoted based on stellar performance, and or sign up corporate accounts, then Nova Medical is the place for you.

No slouchers. Must put in the time especially at the begining.
