    low pay for important job

Sep 7, 2022 - Patient Service Specialist in Columbus, OH
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

I like the people at my office. Patients can be nice and fun to talk with. Learning about insurance is interesting. I do like to be busy, and this is a very busy job. I can use the equipment on my lunch or before work. Benefits are average.

    Cons

Pay is so low for the amount of work. There is so much to do and all of it is important. There is not enough time to get it all done. Training is very minimal and there is so much to know. There are no paid holidays so you have to use PTO if you want a full paycheck. There is also no overtime. There is so much turnover. I thought it would get better and id get a good raise, but that is not the case. I feel very undervalued.

If pay is what you’re looking for? Keep looking.

Sep 11, 2022 - Patient Service Specialist in Columbus, OH
    Recommend

    Business Outlook

    Pros

•Some co-workers and patient relationships. •Some what flexible schedule.

    Cons

•The amount of work that is required of you does not reflect in pay at all. •Not much room for growth •Very understaffed •Using PTO is required if you want to be paid for holidays. •If you’re good at the “behind the scenes” part of the job ,you aren’t punished for having a bad attitude toward patients or fellow coworkers. •Training is not thorough or uniform.

    Pros

Work family. Opportunity for advancement. Productivity expectations. Focus on growth, development and mentorship.

    Cons

I am really happy with my job. I don't have much to say here other than sometimes things take a while in such a large company, but the pros far outweigh the cons.

    Not good pay

Aug 19, 2022 - Receptionist in Clarksville, MD
    Recommend
    CEO Approval
    Business Outlook

    Pros

It is a relatively easy job and doesn't take much training. You will get what you need to do in like a months time. Most of the staff are friendly as well.

    Cons

The company itself isn't bad per say, but they amount they pay the receptionist is lacking. That is across the board. They will come up with every reason in the book why you don't deserve a book, even if you do more than what you were hired to do.
