I have been working at Novacare Rehabilitation part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

As I work part-time/per diem as an administrative assistant in the SE PA market, the company is very flexible to my schedule, great employees to work with, management very responsive with timely e-mails.

    Cons

I float to different offices, management styles and day-day operations can be different depending on clinic, however majority is the same!

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

Therapist are friendly. Patients are usually very nice. Lunches and breaks are provided (but not paid).

    Cons

Incompetent managers, the worse on-boarding process with training, negative morale, want employees to work over time and cover other facilities and do not want to pay over time. Do not give paid holidays. Benefits are not great. A lot of turn overs with employees.

    Advice to Management

Hire qualified people. Pay employees over time. Design better on boarding for new hires. Transfer new hires to be paired with offices with experienced Patient Service Specialists. Supervisors should set the example and act in a professional manner "always" !

I worked at Novacare Rehabilitation part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Fast paced, a lot of learning on the job, but very rewarding to see patients regain their strength and mobility.

    Cons

As a new PT Technician, it's a little difficult to get up to speed with all of the terminology/anatomy, but I didn't really see this as a con, necessarily. It's a challenge, and I like challenges.

    Pros

Teamwork, varying specialties in their clinicians, freedom with your schedule

    Cons

Poor managers at the clinic level, no consistency between clinics, high patient to clinician ratio - sometimes to the detriment of patient care

    Advice to Management

Take a look at your managers. Some clinics are a pleasure, others are miserable. You have some managers who have absolutely ZERO management skills.

I have been working at Novacare Rehabilitation full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Our Center Manager and all other Physical Therapists and PTA's that I have met and experienced working with, are the most caring, educated, experienced group of individuals that I have experienced. They are very mindful of the entire patient experience to be very positive and help ease any concerns the support system that the patient has in place, to be discussed and forthcoming. Very caring and professional staff with positive outcomes for the patient..

    Cons

I am so very pleased with my Center I have no con's to comment on.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the awesome job that you do. They have always returned my calls and or e-mails in a timely manner to help in anyway they are able. If they cannot, they will refer you to who is able with their expertise in that particular area.

I have been working at Novacare Rehabilitation full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team. I love the people I work with and the patients are great. Hours can be flexible for the most part, I get off the time I need.

    Cons

I understand that this is probably needed for the business to run, but too many patients are seen at a time. My position does not get enough respect for the amount of work we do for the company, it really wouldn't run without us. Obviously I will suggest that the pay could be higher.
