Work culture is very good and work life balance is very good

    Pros

Great people, good environment, and a nice campus. Flexible work environment with a diverse group of people and it's easy to make a good impression. Some perks remain.

    Cons

Declining business model, no investment in growth, poor leadership. There isn't a focus on competing, but rather reducing expenses and bringing in cash flow.

    Advice to Management

Pick a product bet and invest aggressively--put your best people on it and use it as a rallying cry for the rest of the company.

    Pros

lot of opportunity from a company in trouble... if you did well, you got more responsibility. Salary was low relative to industry.

    Cons

when they sold the company to private equity, the place really went downhill as they cut all budget for innovation and growth. No more fun

    Advice to Management

not much of Novell today ... all absorbed into Attachmate and now MicroFocus
