I worked at Novella Clinical full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Remote position, no travel required, performing clinical site management for sites participating in cardiovascular device studies. Worked as part of a 4 member team of fellow colleagues, as well as several Clinical Research Associates and project management leaders to manage fast paced demanding enrolling study, at my 22 assigned sites. Very rewarding and gratifying work.

    Cons

Many layers of management which seemed to leave the team feeling out of touch with communications and clarifications.

    Advice to Management

Allow site management team to freely provide feedback to processes and make constructive suggestions to ensure efficiency and productivity to meet deadlines and provide the best outcomes to external customers and clients.

    Advice to Management

Ask for manager evaluations at least yearly. Don't throw staff under the bus.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Novella Clinical full-time

    Pros

The company provides a little better than average pay. The paid time off is also really good, but in the past couple of years, it has been hard to take time off due to current workload. When there are enough employees for the work, this is a very good company for which to work.

    Cons

There is currently no work/life balance at this company. There has been a mass exodus of people leaving the company since the beginning of the year because of this.

    Advice to Management

You need to hire more people to ensure not only that you have enough people to do the current work but also the newly won work.

I have been working at Novella Clinical full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Managers listen to ideas and are supportive, team spirit is great and there are many people who enjoy helping you with your work, when it gets busy every available person volunteers to provide assistance, managers are generous on approving time off, professional development and external opportunities are offered openly, company has a system for individuals to reward each other for jobs done well which is good for morale, company allows employees to work from home as needed

    Cons

Bonuses and raises need to be increased, the amount employees contribute to health insurance is expensive, some tools and processes need improving, several processes lack adequate SOPs or documentation, something should be done to improve retention because turnover is fairly high in some roles

    Advice to Management

Work on training development, invest in new tools, increase salaries to retain talent
