I have been working at Novitex full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Coming from retail, anything remotely desk job related will be the best.
    Good benefits
There seems to be an active effort to improve communications

    Cons

    Ridiculously long hiring process
It seems at any moment anyone can be dropped
    No opportunities to advance
    Repetitive task logging

    Advice to Management

Please talk to your employees, ask us for our opinion and also establish a two way system of advise and feedback.
Also, cut back on the bizarre need for data entries. You do not need three reports on the same task.

I have been working at Novitex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Fantastic Co-Workers
    Paid on time
    Data Entry

    Cons

    Low on the pay grade
    Minimal raises
No room for growth unless you are willing to relocate
    Not enough sick days
    Mandatory over-time
    No appreciation
Does not listen to employee concerns or complaints
Work is easy, but there is to much work to be handled by such a small amount of employees

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees and give your employees the raises they deserve (Bring them up to a living wage, most employees have families and cannot provide for them without working another job or having a spouse that is also providing). Quit taking on more projects than you can handle at one location.

I have been working at Novitex full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work load is low and seasonal
    Non labor-intensive
Competitive benefits and pay (vacation, PTO,
    Stress-free environment (quiet)

    Cons

    A lot of down time
    Benefits are bare minimum
    No advancement opportunities
Limited career development opportunities (I have worked here for over two years and the skill I developed most was how to modify printer preferences)
Just got ride of the Tuition Reimbursement program
Very little opportunity to get overtime hours
    Overly repetitive tasks (boring)
    No formal employee appreciation

    Advice to Management

Develop ways for employees to be more engaged in their work and with other employees. Finds ways to develop more skills for employees to learn. Allow them to be part of decision making. Find special projects to assign when work load is low. Give feedback often. When an employee comes up with a money savings initiative, take them seriously and look into it; and don't just say 'oh that might be a good idea'. Management should be more involved in finding solutions to problems and be responsible for developing new ideas to save money, not just doing the bare minimum in their job.

I worked at Novitex full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -It's a job
-The client I worked for was wonderful.
-You start getting benefits after 90 days of employment.

    Cons

-The pay is below the industry standard.
-All employees DO NOT get yearly raises. They literally have to compete with everyone that their site manager sees over and even then only a small handful will get a raise.
-Their benefits package does the bare minimum required for them to advertise that they actually have one.
-The people who own the company are terrible at keeping their own managers in the loop of what is going on within the company.
-They run on contracts so come renewal time there is a lot of stress about whether or not you are going to still have a job.
-"Employee Appreciation" involves a yearly pizza and cake party. Which sounds nice but if you have a small team then they essentially give you $20 bucks and a no-cake-for-you sticker. The client we worked for literally treated us better than Novitex ever did.
-It is almost impossible to move up in the company unless someone above you either steps down or is let go.
    -High turnover rate.

    Advice to Management

Keep your managers informed as to what is going on within your company so their answer to their employees doesn't have to be "I don't know" for almost every question that is asked.
Show more appreciation for those that work hard for you. Give actual raises to your employees. Have more personal congratulations for hard workers rather than just a mass-generated email and the occasional pizza party.

    I worked at Novitex full-time

    Pros

Friendly team of people to work with.

    Cons

Underpaid for the job being done. They take so much time in their hiring process. Too much expectations for a small team. Daily repetitive logging of tasks.

    Advice to Management

Less logging of tasks - Hard to remember since employees are running around doing tasks and helping clients
Reduce the time in the hiring process.
Pay employees what they are worth - Being its a small team for the task thats being handled daily.
    No Room for growth.

    Pros

Little work. Benefits after 90 days. Start at $11 an hour and $1 raise after 90 days. 6 holidays and little supervision

    Cons

There are No raises. There is No communication between employees and upper management. Depending on location sick days are hard to take.

    Advice to Management

Listen to employee grievances and at least make an attempt to fix them.

    Pros

Decent benefits, you get to work with a great staff and the clients are great as well.

    Cons

Management doesn't always communicate or make the team feel involved.

    Advice to Management

Better communication and get the team more involved. Make your team feel appreciated for the work that they do and not just during contract renewal.

I worked at Novitex full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    1. Money for college degree. 2. Candidate Priority for jobs when and if your account closes. 3. Long and short term disability.

    Cons

Advancement to management positions is available, however, not common. Your chances are better if you are willing to move to another state. Corporate politics and client demands take precedence when advancing employees, and not the employees themselves. Benefits are expensive with very high deductibles. Salaries are much lower than industry standards because they contract their services to other companies and need to make a profit.

    Advice to Management

Employee health benefits/deductibles are crippling to employees with major health issues, especially non management positions given salaries are too low compared to industry standards.
