    Pros

Ability to grow with the company. Flexible to your needs & your ambitions. On the job training that is ongoing. Great people to work with, supportive environment.

    Cons

If you aren't willing or able to work without planning and organizing your own days, and with little to no micro-management, this business is not for you. Novum gives you the freedom to execute your own plan and just provides guidance when needed.

Great people - great place to work!

    Pros

Great people at all levels of the firm- the team is extremely supportive of each other and has a great time together. The CEO and Management team are highly committed to our individual success which brings an overall positive energy to the team. Flexibility with our schedules - work life balance is key! Unlimited earning potential - Committed team and collaborative environment -

    Cons

The recruiting industry isn't for everyone... the initial ramp up period can be tough. Draw compensation is meant to be a motivator and is there to assist you while you are building up your business. This is a high risk - high reward industry. For individuals who do well in a 'chase the carrot environment' and who want control over their earning potential.

Surrounded by the right people and the right tools, the sky is the limit.

Jul 13, 2017 - Senior Recruiter in Carlsbad, CA

    Business Outlook

    Pros

Unlimited earning potential. Invested management and partner team. Flexibility with tenure & success. If you put in the hard work on the front end, you can make good money and earn a rewarding career with stable income without having to work 60+ hours per week. Fun, culture between the tenured team - many team building activities, work hard play hard mentality.

    Cons

Build up time can be longer than expected - this business is tough. To achieve great rewards, you must take great risks. I get why that isn't for everyone. Draw compensation is not anything to write home about, which should be a motivation to work hard and get ramped up quickly. If you aren't a go getter/self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, this isn't for you.

    Pros

High earning potential if you can make it thru the gauntlet of terrible culture and CNN and Fox News being on every day in the office.

    Cons

Google Armstrong Financial Lawsuit (name prior to rebranding) Low salary and you're on a draw that carries over every year High turn over Poor communication within the company Ethically and morally compromising

    Novum Group Response

    President

CEO here - I sometimes disapprove of myself so can't argue with that one! The rest, not so sure. We are a financial recruiting firm so I do have either Bloomberg, CNBC, or Fox Business running on mute on two monitors in our bullpen. Nothing wrong with CNN or Fox News but we don't put non financial news shows on. OK, we do but who would complain about The Masters or March Madness! The median income in our office last year for people here over one year was $117, 026. I will work on bringing that low number up. We have nine great people and are looking for more great people to join our team. Their tenure by years is; 11, 11, 8, 7, 6, 2, 2, 2, and 1. In 11 years, I have had 7 people resign - 2 of the 7 were because of relocation. I've been a recruiter for 25 years and President of this company for 11. I have literally been involved in well over 1000 transactions with hundreds of name brand global and nationally recognized companies. My moral and ethical compass has never been questioned but I do appreciate the feedback. Lastly, I already do get professional help but thanks again for the suggestion! On a more serious note; we work every day to create an environment that is a fun and rewarding place to work, and apologize if that was not your experience. We can assure you that we operate with the utmost respect to our employees and strive to create an inviting and collaborative space to work. The recruiting business is a tough, yet rewarding profession that isn’t meant for everyone and we are sorry it didn’t work out for you! Draw against commission is a very typical compensation structure for most recruiting/sales positions, and is designed to set you up for success in the long run. We welcome any questions to all current and future employees regarding how our pay structure works, and maintain an open dialog about how our employees are compensated. We appreciate your feedback.
