Pros
- The engineering team. You will be surrounded with really smart people and you can learn a lot from them. Unfortunately many of them were released from one day to the other and now the company is only hiring remote employees. - The office is really nice very modern you have everything you need - Competitive salary
Cons
The management: - They are inexperienced and no clue how to manage a software development team. - They change their mind on a daily basis, there is no long term plan at all. - No job safety, you never know when they decide to release half of the development team or fire any other employee.
Advice to Management
- Keep the good engineers, and fire some of the management members. - Listen to the engineers or hire managers who have experience in management. - Have a plan

Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookDisapproves of CEOI have been working at Numbrs full-time for less than a year
Pros
The only good thing about this company is the people (not from management) that work there.
Cons
So many... - Zero stability (mass dismissal recently - google it) - Zero transparency (plus some brainwashing attempts - once per week) - No work/life balance - If you work in Zurich office, you are not allowed to sporadicaly work remote, or get non paid leaves, or work less than 100%. - No solid business model - No clear goals - Super micromanagement
Advice to Management
My advice is to read all these negative reviews, stop and think about what you are doing. You're killing the company and making this place miserable to work.

"Random management, excellent engineers"

Pros
- Most of the engineers working in the company have excellent technical and social skills. Probably the best ones I've worked with so far. - Also many of the ones who were fired a few weeks ago. - Quality of the perks is good: food quality is okay, lots of drinks, very good coffee and tea, the gym is quite complete. - The product has a lot of possibilities. - Very good location. - Well paid. - Security is an... important value and is well implemented.
Show MoreCons
- I have the feeling that the management don't really know what to do with the product and how to continue with it, they seem to be more focused on making everything pretty so investors keep giving money rather thank making the product successful. What about coming down to the real world, ask people and do some testing? - Continuous mindset changes, probably because of what I said in the previous point. - Fear of... failing. Or better said, fear of taking a new feature to a showcase to the founder and being told that what you have built is ugly, useless and stupid. And the worst is that it might be true, but because even the smallest thing is micromanaged by them. - Quality of the perks has been reduced after the "cost reduction". Having sweets and no fruits is a really bad idea, reducing the breakfast is equally bad. - No career development: the company doesn't pay any trainings and they don't support people who want to assist to conferences. - Not even sporadical home office. For a company full of expats, this is a symptom of low consideration towards the employees. - The values and their continuous presence everywhere like in a dictatorship. - The reflections on the displays.

One has to admit that you are doing an extremely good job at convincing investors, but please stop influencing so much technical and design decisions. It is also important to note that the people working at the company are engineers, who use to be clever people, so please stop treating them as if they were stupid children who don't have a clue about what's happening around. These people deserve more respect than... what they are getting right now. The name of the app and its weird spelling might affect the growth in terms of users. The company needs definitely more transparency, listening to the good people they have hired and a defined and brave direction. And prepared people taking decisions, not just because they belong to the close circle of the founders.

Pros
Having worked for Centralway for just over two years and reading a few negative reviews here, I felt compelled to write something honest that hopefully gives potential future employees insight into what it's really like to work at Centralway but also something to give context to the negative reviews posted. First and foremost, the Centralway of November 2016 is nothing like the Centralway of 2015 - the reviews... from that period may as well be for a completely different company because much has changed since then. Management saw the issues existing in the company during that time (at all levels) and made big changes, all of which have turned out for the better. Second, getting hired at Centralway is not easy, and neither is making it past the probation period. Even after you are hired, the probation period really is a probation period. So, don't expect that because you got hired that you are guaranteed to be there three months later. If you are a highly capable and adaptable person who gets things done and gets along with different types of people from different cultures, you will have no problem. Personally I see it as a big positive that the company doesn't hold onto people who don't fit as I've seen many problems in other companies where the wrong people are tolerated and shifted around. You won't experience this at Centralway. Most importantly, the people you will work with are simply amazing, there's no other way to put it. Everyone there is not only highly competent, but also down-to-earth and friendly. There is a surprisingly small amount of politics and lack of silos, and despite the growth of the company over the past 12 months, the culture has persisted. The side-benefits are also incredible (catered breakfast and lunch, free snacks/drinks/ice-cream, team events, company events, kicker table tournaments and more). You will not find many companies outside Silicon Valley with comparable conditions. As for the work itself, this obviously varies from department to department. I work on the more technical side, so can only say that the technology stack is first-class and compromises are not made on quality - look at the product and this should speak for itself. Everyone who works on the product takes pride in the details and management are not afraid to push deadlines in order to ensure a quality product is shipped. This can of course be frustrating and exhausting at times, because you want to see your weeks (sometimes months) of hard work in the hands of users, but management (especially the CEO) does not tolerate shipping anything of sub-par quality just to hit a deadline. if you don't believe in this philosophy, then Centralway is not the right place for you. Ultimately, if you want to work with great people, modern technology, have great benefits and do something that will long-term re-shape the financial industry, send in your CV and if you make it to that point, judge for yourself during the Meet Centralway.

At times there are a lot of things happening at once - training new hires, big features and new ventures reduces focus and intensifies pressure on people. It would be good to see that intensity even out over the year in 2017. As beautiful as the office is, it feels somewhat sterile. Some artwork, plant-life and more natural light would be perfect.
Advice to Management
Keep listening to your employees about how things can be improved. Slim down processes to reduce overhead as we grow and keep the company focused.

Pros
I have been working for Centralway for 4 years. Therefore I had the opportunity to see the development of the company very closely. To build up a new company from the scratch, create a new product and double the amount of employees every year is definitely challenging. I understand that this was not easy for some employees in the past and therefore there are some negative reviews here as well. I think the... biggest problem was that lot of those employees came with a wrong expectations to work for our company. Centralway is definitely not a startup anymore, where everyone can do what he/she wants. We have established processes and a very strong company culture. What we did in the last 2 years better than before is that we communicate this from the beginning to our candidates and new employees. Also the management improved the communication with employees. There is much more transparency and this is appreciated by everyone. I saw that the employee satisfaction improved a lot, especially in the last year. But I feel to important to mention that Centralway is not perfect for everyone. Centralway is the wrong place for you, if you want to be a part of a small startup company. Centralway is the wrong place for you, if you are not ready to solve new problems and challenges independently. Centralway is the wrong place for you if you have an attitude to cover your back and you are not ready to take responsibility. Centralway is the wrong place for you, if you do not like changes at all. We work on a product in a new industry, we have every month new employees joining to our company, the nature of our company is that we are changing. Centralway is not the right place if you try to climb the career ladder with intrigue. Politics and internal fights are not tolerated at all. You can not just show your track record of the last years or your experience working for other companies. You need to prove yourself even when you are an expert in your industry. That's also the reason why some senior people were not able to adapt to our company. This is just not working at Centralway, you need to work hands-on even when you are in a manager position. So why I am here after 4 years and why do I think that Centralway is the perfect place for me? I could now list all of our benefits like free food, amazing office and company gym etc. This benefits are of course amazing but for me the biggest benefit is that I am surrounded by exceptional talented people. I am every day amazed, how great my colleagues are and even after 4 years I am able to learn every day something new. In my previous jobs normally I got bored after 1-2 years but here I have the feeling this is simple impossible. People are not only talented but they are also very nice as well. We do a lot of team events (official and unofficial as well) and lot of friendship has been built over the years. Centralway is a perfect place when you are ready to give your best. Performance will be regarded. I never saw any company during my career which was rewarding great employees that much. I saw how many of our employees during this years were progressing in their career and the personal development they went through.
Show MoreCons
Our company is definitely not perfect and I think there are lot of things which can be for someone cons. I was really try to come up with something I personally do not like but unfortunately I was not able to. What I suggest everyone is to ask lot of questions during the interview process and figure out if this place is the right for you and if you see cons for you.
Advice to Management
Continue hiring smart people. Try to keep the company culture as it is today. Continue with the transparent communication.

Pros
Very smart, nice and friendly employees. A lot of social events organized either by the company or by the employees. Good food and and a lot of fun. Cool technologies. Onboarding process is quite effective, so you will be able to do productive work quite soon after your start.
Cons
In my opinion the processes are sometimes too strict. This would however not discourage me from joining the company.
Advice to Management
Continie hiring product and/or project managers. Continue hiring smart people. There is a lot of talent working for the company and more flexible environment might help them to be a bit more productive.
