I worked at Numotion for more than 10 years

    Pros

Job security, you help the disabled.

    Cons

Management - "get the chair delivered" no matter what situation arises. It's stressful because they expect you to do a 3 person job utilizing one employee and then you still don't get a raise. They justify no raises when they are performing your yearly review. "You are doing great but...." Always a but! All of the legacy employees moved on because it is all about meeting goals amongst goals. Goals that are made to unattainable, for the benefit of Numotion.

    Advice to Management

Care about your employees, that's why you have high turnover, you've lost valuable legacy employees that care about complex rehab and that have the knowledge and now you have to train new employees who only last working there for so many months. Run the numbers on calls you get and no one answers the phone nor returns voicemails. You need to make sure your Customer Service departments are properly staffed.

I have been working at Numotion full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Get to help people and make a difference in their lives.

    Cons

The people you get to help also are the same ones who yell and cuss at you for mistakes and delays that are not your fault. Management seems to care most about orders that make them money. If you are in a bad situation and desperately need the help but, your equipment doesn't make them any money you can be sure you will be put on the back burner. Employee tensions are high as each department has their own issues. There is no communication between departments and they just blame the each other. No team work. Negative work place. I have seen many employees treated disrespectfully by management and nothing is done about it. There is more training now but, the processes changes so much you just can't keep up with anything. You can expect up to 100 emails in one day, not to mention the phone constantly ringing. Management seems over worked and stressed out, this trickles down to the employees who are not treated with respect. They are given ridiculous goals to meet every month and ultimately they get no reward for going the extra mile. Only the managers make a bonus. As an employee.. I should expect to be appreciated for my work, shown respect and decency, compensated fairly and given a path to success. unfortunately, Numotion doesn't deliver on any of these. To those who say the negative reviews are false or over dramatized truly have no idea what they are talking about. Some employees have been here for years and have seen many newbies come and go. Give it some time and I think you too will have some negative thoughts and stories to tell.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees better, don't gossip and play favorites. Reward those that actually do a good job. Have checks and balance, seems that the managers can do whatever they want. Treat everyone fairly, no matter what their job title is. Push for better customer service not better numbers. Promote from within.

    I worked at Numotion

    Pros

The job is rewarding. The Corporate level management is trying to improve the work environment. They are offering competitive salaries and 401K benefits. Corporate is also trying to train employees.

    Cons

Branch level management is not trained in people skills. Communication is poor, with a very stressful work environment. Management is constantly changing employee’s desk and responsibility. Management is micro managing everyone to the extreme levels causing stress and frustration with employees.

    Advice to Management

Corporate please train branch level managers.

I have been working at Numotion for more than a year

    Pros

Decent pay and flexible schedule. There is really not a lot of positives about this company. Free coffee but a waste of time to say the least.

    Cons

This is a horrible company to work for if you are used to a structured and professional work environment. There is absolutely no training and no one really seems to know what they are doing. I mean no one.

I worked at Numotion for more than 8 years

    Pros

I met some great and exciting coworkers here. Medical benefits were good although strange they did not have DME coverage. Employee portion of benefit expense was quite high.

    Cons

Management was a sore spot for this company. Management positions were filled by friends and lunch buddies. Hard workers got no recognition. Friends got special treatment. They started several recognition programs that all fizzled. When the company merged they cleaned house of those who made more. No loyalty. No respect. Emotional games.

    Advice to Management

Take a close look at the quality of the person you have in management and supervisor positions. They will sink your customer base like a slow poison. Your products are a life saving gift of technology. Search for and reward your quiet hard working employees with the life saving gift of honest employment.

I have been working at Numotion full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

got a job but that's about it....

    Cons

Benefits are terrible......Insurance coverage for a family is over 900.00 a month; that is the employees cost .....company doens't even match a nickle (.05) for a dollar in the 401K program.....mutimillion dollar company and they can't even give you a nickle for every dollar you put in........and forget about anything like a holiday/Christmas bonus...you want get anything, not even a 20.00 gift card......upper management gets it but not the low life employees....dealing with the customers can be rewarding once you get use to being cussed at almost every single day over the phone because someone esle hasn't done their job properly....managment personnel don't talk to you, they talk down to you.....if your a good looking woman, don't worry you'll be treated good because there might be something that some of the management team will try to get later on by way of sex and travel....might even get a new company car or other perks....no future for a retirement...

    Advice to Management

care about the employees better and care about them more....have a system in place so that an employee doesm't feel like he'll be punished for complaining to Human Resources...employees on the bottom of the torem pole fell like upper management does not care about them....all I see everyday is emails for Presidents, Vice Presidents, Regional Managers to push for more money, more money, more money every single day...then if a goal isn't met, then the employees get distasteful emails because they aren't doing their jobs, or falling asleep at the wheel, not pulling their load or wagon...this sucks....your'e treated like crap...

I worked at Numotion full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Had a job that paid the bills

    Cons

Management was constantly changing. Even the VP was fired and replaced thrice the 2 years I worked there. Women were constantly fighting and gossiping. My supervisor was constantly using inappropriate language around the office and was very rude with the customers. The billing department was often firing employees.

    Advice to Management

    Um, manage well.
