    Pros

Best dialysis system in the world! I know...I use it four days per week.

    Cons

They don't seem interested in marketing their product very well.

    Advice to Management

Build another clinic on the north or west end of Pittsburgh and see what happens!

I have been working at NxStage full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Meaningful work, and most groups have great leaders. Recently more opportunity for growth available and some more cross functional projects

    Cons

Lack of systems and resources makes it hard to spend time doing things that benefit the bottom line. Somewhat difficult to find help.

    Advice to Management

    Communication is key

    Pros

Good benefits, competitive to better than competitive salary, management treats employees fairly and encourages a good work-life balance. Good opportunity for promotion and movement once put in time and show capability.

    Cons

In regard to design, highly management driven so not as much creativity involved as would like. Actual CAD design is done in part by Technicians / Mechanical Designers vs. the actual engineer -- as an engineer I would like to do more of the nuts and bolts design work.

    Advice to Management

Give more creative and design freedom for maximum job satisfaction.

    Pros

Becoming an employee here at NxStage has been a wonderful step in developing my career. Coming from working in mostly a hospital setting, I was nervous about transitioning into this growing corporate company. My nerves have since calmed - thanks to the informational and smooth hiring process, the wonderful work environment, and spectacular co workers. This job is a perfect fit for me and I truly feel those working in HR are determined to help you find the right fit for your growth and development. NxStage is a company I am proud to say I am a part of!

    Cons

I can not think of any negatives.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

The product is a life changer for patients. It's rewarding listening to the patients. Benefits are good, vacation time, holidays, sick time and medical.

    Cons

So of the management lead by intimidation. It doesn't matter if you're doing your job or not it makes them feel superior. HR doesn't stand with the employees, going to HR for help is signing your unemployment papers.

    Advice to Management

Look at the work employees are doing. Thank them for a job well done. Keep your good and loyal employees instead of the do whatever the manager says with no questions asked employees. Sometimes the little guy has a big idea.

I worked at NxStage (Less than a year)

    Pros

Nice Co-Workers Good Work-Life Balance. People aren't afraid to take vacations that they are entitled to.

    Cons

A very stifling and stiff office environment. There is a lot of red-tape to navigate, and depending on your mindset, it can be tough to navigate the said red-tape.

    Advice to Management

Let the subject matter experts have more control over their work and thought process. FDA guidelines can be adhered to without stifling workers.

    Pros

Nice environment, easy commute, 90% pleasant people, cool perks to work here.

    Cons

Some people can be rude and condescending. The job can be hectic enough without being spoken to like your a child. One bad apple will ruin the bunch.

    Advice to Management
