Used to be a 5-star company but things have changed.

Work from home if you’re in Sales, great 401k match, above average benefits. And there are some amazing people there.
Cons
Questionable decisions made by leadership, especially in the past 1-2 years. Cons- Account segmentation, elimination of the ADM role, much lower pay than competitors, no career path for Sales unless there’s an open MD position, just to name a few. Not to mention the lagging technology. When leadership blew up the sales structure in early 2021, ADMs had to either apply and formally interview for the AE role, or accept a severance package. (Which was on the far low end of what companies typically offer) The way the process was handled didn’t align with a people-first culture and leadership showed a complete lack of empathy throughout.

This is actually a company that cares about their employees
Mar 2, 2013 - I Work In the IT Department in Salt Lake City, UTRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
People seem to stick around. Some have worked there from for 40+ years. Salary is good. They really try hard to make it a great place to work.
Cons
In the IT Department, they once allowed work from home and flex scheduling. But as of the last quarter 2012, they took it away. After being a java shop for many years, over night they switched to Ruby On Rails. That is not necessarily a bad thing. But the direction and future plans of the company seem to be scattered brained. New CIO is hiring a lot of his friends who are different than they past company culture and they are hell bent on changing things. Hope it all works out. A lot of people in IT jump ship because of the scatter brains of these new people.

So overwhelmingly positive. They care. About me. About my co-workers. About our clients. About our future. I was loyal before, but after having seen how they react during the COVID pandemic, I'm here forever.
Cons
Work from home has been great, but I miss the food from the onsite cafe at the office.

Great culture, smart people, and wonderful message
Cons
Doesn't allow full time work from home

Pros
-Their 401(k) match is competitive -Good people held back by an internal culture of half-measures
Cons
COVID-19 Update: They are proceeding with a return to work in early August 2021 unnecessarily putting workers at risk amid a surge in COVID-19 cases. They encourage vaccination but their policy does not have a verification mechanism. Masking is not required for vaccinated individuals at odds with the CDC's recent update to masking guidelines in response to the Delta Variant. -Antiquated in all aspects -On call 24/5 -No opportunity for advancement -Refuse to allow work from home -Have fallen behind their competition -Rudderless executive team -Pay is not competitive for most positions

Old school company stuck in 1985
Jan 11, 2019 - Anonymous EmployeeRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Chocolates at Christmas and money for your birthday!
Cons
OC Tanner is one of the most old school companies that I have ever worked for (in many ways). They focus on “appreciation” and “culture” yet they can’t get a single “millennial” (they are obsessed with this hilarious term to describe the generation that makes up the majority of the workforce today!) to stay at this company because of the horrible culture and backwards thinking. Their processes are EXTREMELY outdated in ways you would not even believe. As an ADM (usually young, smart millennials who get tricked into thinking this is a good role), you will become your manager’s assistant in the field and be the person that does all of their work for them (usually while they work from home leisurely) and get paid zero commission for the work you do and the sales you get for them. The job title for the ADM position is completely misleading and false. You are a glorified assistant and that is all there is to it. If that is what you’re looking for, this is the perfect role for you! Also beware of their backwards approach to literally everything including the treatment of females in the workplace - aka females should be assistants to the males that are out there making all the money! As I mentioned ... stuck in 1985. Another point is that they claim their bread and butter is their “awards program” because they believe this is how they build a strong culture and how their clients should build strong cultures - by appreciating their employees by giving them an award for their tenure at a company. The selection of awards internally and for external clients is embarrassing. If it were 1985, the gifts would be amazing.. but I’m not sure an employee is going to feel super appreciated when they receive a pin (because people still wear pins in 2019??) for their 1 year anniversary. Seriously if you are interviewing for the ADM role, I would highly recommend reaching out to a former ADM on LinkedIn to get their honest input and opinion.
