I worked at O.E.M. Remanufacturing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Worked there for 2 years, no complaints. Great gig.

    Cons

Old boys club, lots of lifers there that don't know much about computers. Management is great. Can't get training tickets easily.

I have been working at O.E.M. Remanufacturing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

good pay and benefits for new grads, very flexible work schedule, good opportunity for overtime, awesome office environment and friendly people, no stress, not a lot to do. It is good stepping stone into reliability or failure analysis career if you play your cards right. Or great for the engineering new grad that hated engineering and just wants a salary with minimum amount of responsibility

    Cons

if you're an engineer with high ambitions then this might not be the place for you, minimal training, not a lot of responsibilities or learning opportunities, very little chance for growth unless you move to parent company (Finning), very limited scope of work, you write the same report over and over again, you'll be bored in a few months. Every other position has a growth plan but none exist for the engineers. Business...

    Advice to Management

more training for the engineers, give them more responsibilities, bring them into meetings and decision making

    No opinion of CEO

    I worked at O.E.M. Remanufacturing full-time

    Pros

OEM has great people. It is a relatively young company that is open to change. If you take the initiative you can go far within this company.

    Cons

Benefits are good, but could be better. It is tied to the oil industry so there can be swings in the volume of work. The company does it's best not to impact the employees when this happens.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you are doing. Do not loose the culture or values. Check out what people are writing about OEM on glass door... not sure why Norm Labonne is listed at CEO.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at O.E.M. Remanufacturing full-time

    Pros

Reasonable salary Easy to get days off when you need them No real expectations from employees If you are a beautiful looking girl future is bright in higher management roles

    Cons

Zero career growth No training opportunities No employee retention plan Shift work without the benefits of shift work

    Advice to Management

Develop a well defined career advancement plan. Try to retain employees rather than a turnover cycle every few months. In order to get an honest employee survey don't tie it to the bonus plan.

I have been working at O.E.M. Remanufacturing

    Pros

good pay, and thats about it

    Cons

design of new shiftwork schedule hazardous for your health, already feeling the strain and ive only been at it for a year. promotions based on time spent there, not on quality of work or individual ability. Little communication between management and employee other than obligatory "safety meetings"

    Advice to Management

restructure your shift schedule to something that works for your employees, not you. when you say you take care of your employees, back it up.
