Great place to start or work at forever

      Pros

Great teams and team members to work with, and you can really go at your own pace. Crunch/rush to finish projects only occurs when sudden projects get thrown at you, otherwise you work on what you want when you want (at least from my experience).

      Cons

Things can't get done until upper management wants it done/is convinced. This causes a lot of conflict across teams who are ages behind and others who want to get caught up to today's standards.

      over-used, under-payed

      Pros

fairly decent discount on most parts

      Cons

-Terrible management up to and including regional management level. -Store managers are instructed by corporate that they are not allowed to rate employees any higher than "needs improvement". -constantly have to "act busy" on 8+ hour shifts while not allowed to sit -management will bend over backwards for abusive customers, and will down on the employees openly to save face -little to no room for promotion/raise (I worked a total of 3.5 years across 3 stores in 2 states and was a total go getter-- always covered shifts, kept my nose clean, etc-- and only ever got a single $0.50 raise, then saw a brand new employee get hired at $.50 more than me a month later)

      Pros

You get everything at cost, even though sometimes cost isn't much less than the regular sales price, usually you will save a lot of money fixing your vehicle.

      Cons

This is one of the cheapest companies I have ever worked for. Our store just broke a record of $400,000 in sales and I have sold above and beyond what I was expected to sell. Having said that, they have the worlds worst computers, slowest internet, extremely inaccurate and unhelpful catalogue, and half of our printers are broken. On top of that the manager expects his ever dwindling hourly people to do management level work for their regular meager wages while he lives like a fat cat and enjoys his nights and weekends off. I have 2 years with this company and I will never recommend anyone work for O'reilly Auto Parts.

      Pros

Good corporate culture; friendly team members

      Cons

Every O’Reilly store is not the same. If you are fortunate enough to have an excellent manager and staff- stick with them. You will know it when you come across the best. The con is that there will be twigs in the way that will try to make you stumble and fall. Again, O’Reilly encourages transfers to any O’Reilly that’s hiring. O’Reilly Auto Parts is a good place to work because it is a big and growing company with opportunities to grow. I beg you, do not be the ‘twig’ makes others stumble and keeps them from growing.
