    Pros

Great team. Most work together. Company I thought was a great company to work for with much room to grow your career, until they fired me for borrowing money from an old aquatience while on a break. Because it took a couple weeks for me to pay it back and he called hr, I goit fired. A write up I could understand but being fired I cannot understand

    Cons

No warning I was just FIRED

I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Plenty of overtime, little training needed, and if you enjoy driving you’ll spend plenty of time on the road.

    Cons

The pay is horrible for the amount of work put in. There are never enough drivers to cover every delivery route, so many people work long weeks with a rare day off. Schedules are inconsistent. There is no hazard pay, but they make you drive in flood conditions and ice. There’s never enough time to take your lunch. The company brags about how much profit they make while the employees struggle to make ends meet. The raises they offer are insultingly low. The trucks are never serviced. It’s all a mess.

    Advice to Management

The turnover rate might not be so bad if you actually paid your employees.

I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Employee discount
    Stock shares
Great place to meet local mechanics

    Cons

    Where do I start?

A little under $10 an hour to have to deal with angry customers who think it's your fault that these REMANUFACTURED parts go bad. If you wanted a reliable part, BUY THE NEW ONE YOU JACKWAGON. So many people that come into the store are cheap and always hit you with the "so do I get that 'returning customer' discount TEEHEEHEE". The constant ringing of the phones caused so much frustration, and corporate requires you to answer within the first 3 rings. It's so embarrassing to be helping a customer and then have to interrupt them, and tell them to wait while you answer the phone and listen to some story about how "my cousin just bought a Cavalier...uhhh do ya'll have an aftermarket chip to make it go faster and I also wanted to price some camo floormats for muh' LIFTED EFF TWO FIFTY". The job is a joke unless you're in high school. I only took the job because I was transitioning from military to civilian and used it as a segway until I got a real job. This is a job for young adults that know how to use a parts catalog on a computer interface.

    Advice to Management

This message isn't really for management, but for corporate and I mean this genuinely: You need to take all the money you're scoring from ripping people off with remanufactured parts and reinstate a better payroll for people who are actually working for their paycheck. You can't even pay your managers more than what MOST corporations pay entry-level employees.

    I worked at O'Reilly Auto Parts part-time

    Pros

Discounts on parts and the commissions were pretty good at the end of the month

    Cons

The dm that I worked for was a liar and either was too incompetent to do his job or just didn't care enough about the people working for him to fire them under false pretenses. Stay away from gt.

    Pros

Consistent pay. Deep discounts. That's about it.

    Cons

The only way to get a raise is to leave. No concerns for employeees as actual human beings. Regional management is entrenched and simply terrible.

    Advice to Management

Replace or force out the old guard. They're in it for themselves and not the company as a whole.
