I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Work well to accommodate a schedule for you, good discounts on personal vehicles, lots of benefits through cell phone companies dealerships and much more, 401k after a year, health benefits to start right away, holiday pay plus vacation time with full hour lunches, work hard you get acknowledged.

    Cons

Hard to get into upper management, lower management has to work nights and weekends mainly, pay is low to start with but you get small bonuses on holidays and paid very well on holidays and commission to help make it up

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Great people to work with - I have lots of friends - Team member discount is nice - Promote from within - Stable - Flexible - Work life balance - Work from home option for developers

    Cons

-Pay is low for many - Upper management clearly doesn’t understand or properly value IT, and makes many head scratching decisions - Upper management is completely stuck in their old fashioned ways - Leadership made promises of an improved workspace for several years before sticking us in a building that is in every way worse, without any explanation (some teams got stuck in a windowless basement) - Bad benefits - Insurance isn’t great, no paid maternity or paternity leave, outdated vacation policy. - They’ve been trying (kind of) to figure out IT for years and failing miserably - Extremely cheap (they call it “expense control”)- you’ll share hotel rooms, they won’t buy decent coffee, have outdated cubicles and equipment, etc. - If you want to learn to have technical excellence and be on a team that excels, steer clear. At O’Reilly you’ll spend your time fixing problems that shouldn’t be there in the first place, making hacky code, and be in a constant state of trying to figure out what our development process is.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Discounts of merchandise is the one and only.

    Cons

Management, “Culture” is a total joke. No integrity at all! No professionalism! Co workers Lie, lie, lie in statements, dm useless. If you make top sales, have experience and knowledge, coworkers want you gone and manipulate their sick ways to make sure you get fired or quit. Upper management are supposed to investigate false statements but they do not. They believe the side of the liar even when it doesn’t make common sense. Get rid of commission, pay people wages they deserve. Enforce policies of professionalism and integrity.

I have been working at O'Reilly Auto Parts full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great Discounts Great Co Workers overall Learn multiple skills including problem solving (for customers who dont receive parts on time or receive faulty parts+ Learning to work around frequent system updates and software problems)

    Cons

Frequent computer system and phone problems Upper management takes very little action when problems arise with coworkers (violence, sexual misconduct, threats, internal theft) I have seen the aforementioned activity from multiple employees who are still employed by the company Base pay is lowest out of all 4 large Auto parts companies Dependant on other stores to receive parts on time

None - but you will be brainwashed with the ‘culture ‘

    Cons

Long hours, no support or training, low pay, women are openly paid less than men in salaried positions. No diversity in upper management- if you are a white man you will go far with this company.
