    I worked at O2Micro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very friendly environment, helpful people who know the technology. Lot of support for innovation and patents.

    Cons

Small company has lot of competition and so it is difficult when economy is rough. New technology requires lot of money to be invested which is not easy for small company.

    Advice to Management

Continue with innovation and sooner or later success will come. Continue focus on what the people are good at doing. Also good to put more money in R&D.

    Pros

Team members are very knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive. Team to Team communication is also very helpful. Green environment, easy commute, good parking.

    Cons

Since it is mandatory to communicate with Asia offices, some day you can finish your job after 7 PM, or even after 8 PM.

    Advice to Management

Employee education. Recently it was improved, but it is never enough.

    I worked at O2Micro full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This company used to have a good environment of innovation and continually developed their new products. IP is put in good priority. It collected many talented engineers, although a large portions of them left.

    Cons

As the economy is getting tough, O2micro suffers. However, compared to the other corporations in this industry, O2micro goes too far and continually drop in performance since 2012. They have cut the majority of budgets for patents and are selling some of the departments.

    Advice to Management

I have no advice for the management.
