    I worked at OHSU

    Pros

Great opportunity if you get the right mentor.

    Cons

Requires independence and self-motivation, so if you don't have those this is not a good opportunity for you.

I have been working at OHSU full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Location near running trails, newly formed resident union, beautiful campus, tram connecting main hospital to the waterfront campus

    Cons

Residency hours are long; on the whole, residents are undercompensated for the work they do, but this is not a problem specific to OHSU.

I worked at OHSU full-time for more than a year

    Pros

OHSU CARES so much about their patients and their people. I felt like my voice was heard and we al had the same goal of giving patients the best care that we could

    Cons

None that I can think of

  5. "Great place to work"

    5.0
Former Employee - Room Service Associate in Portland, OR

I worked at OHSU full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Employee benefits, great healthcare package, personal/career development courses available, subsidized public transport pass, education reimbursement options. Great cohesion with coworkers.

    Cons

Food and Nutrition doesn't have a lot of flexibility with scheduling for PM workers (2:30-10PM 5 days/ week), however if your personal life aligns with this, it's not a big deal, I made friends with people who had similar schedules and I ended up saving more money with this schedule.

I worked at OHSU full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great union, cost of living raise and 4% yearly raise so you get like a 25 cent raise every 6 mo. The company is very progressive in their stances- basically got a staff wide 'not my potus' email from the big wigs re Trump

    Cons

There is a 10 year long waitlist for employee parking. Many clinics have poor management and high turn over
