    Pros

Above market average pay and good benefits, flexible work schedule, home office and free medical insurance. Good technical and functional work in retail space.

    Cons

Lack of work life balance for consultants, no visibility of financial status of company, top heavy and unproductive executive level. No real transperency

    Advice to Management

Be transperent upto a certain level atleast with yout employees. Think long term

I have been working at OLR full-time

    Pros

-Best in industry in the areas they work
-Feel cared for, not just another consultant
    -Great benefits
-Able to learn the latest products and technologies
-At least in North America senior leadership communicates well with the entire team about what is going on in terms of sales, industry challenges/trends, etc. with full transparancy

    Cons

The retail industry has been tough lately so there has been shifting in required skillsets away from core merchandising to point of sale

    Advice to Management

Continue to communicate well with the company. Try to keep our benefits the same if you can as having full coverage is really appreciated.

I worked at OLR full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The benefits are outstanding.

The people used to be the big reason to work here and made the company stand out from all the other Consulting companies. However, this is no longer the case as so many people have left.

    Cons

The remaining employees are extremely disgruntled.
Upper Management has not been held accountable for one bad decision after the next which has resulted in people either leaving on their own accord or through multiple rounds of layoffs.
Communication is lacking severely, and any communication that does take place is misleading.
The recent management has turned the place from a fun, caring company into a cold, toxic environment.

    Advice to Management

    Start over.

    Pros

    they offered Good Pay
    they offered Good Benefits
    Occasionally they had Wine Wednesday
    Best coffee ever
    Good restaurant across the street

    Cons

This is not a company for those in their mid-career. This company is very reminiscent of the environment held by Oracle Retail (RETEK). Filled with many A Types who work round the clock. If you have a family or life, not a good place to work at all. While they do say you can work remotely, I was never allowed to do that. Many of the employees are uptight....no wonder, they are being worked to death. To the point where someone sent me an email asking me to return their cereal bowl, which was a plastic container they bought some ice cream in. Really? You are so uptight that you are calling me out on a disposable ice cream container. I hated it there, the atmosphere was horrible, the people were definitely not friendly at all, and it was in a super crappy part of Minneapolis (1200 block of Washington Ave.).

    Advice to Management

    RELAX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Be honest in your interviews, manage the expectations of the employees. Don't tell them one thing and then turn around and do another thing.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    - Pay above industry average
    - Awesome medical benefits
    - 401k match
    - Casual culture
    - Work from anywhere in USA from home too unless you are traveling
    - Great co-workers.

    Cons

Everything is great until there is a slowdown in business. The business model is not built for sustainability. Every one is happy getting paid great, working on great projects until the revenue is great, fun environment, friendly co workers. BUT any kind of bump and everything is in chaos, people get laid off, upper management jumps ship, pay raises/bonuses are on hold and the environment becomes cut throat for people to remain on projects to show productivity ...

In short - No long term vision.

    Advice to Management

Use a sustainable model for business that can handle ecomomical ups and down and provide stability to employees. A scared employee is an unproductive employee.

    Pros

Great benefits, top in industry for medical coverage, time off etc. Very competitive pay compared to others in industry. Management works for you, and stands behind you.

    Cons

Difficult work-life balance as a consultant. Too much travel. Leadership did not provide full visibility to concerns. Could have been more transparent about the direction of the business and the potential struggles. Not much room for growth.

    Pros

Good benefits, some good people. Very little here to add with the exception of what is mentioned above in trying to meet the 20 word minimum required for this field.

    Cons

Poor leadership, financial problems with Cashflow. Body shop environment and the business is on a massive decline with no clear strategy. Just another SI

    Advice to Management

Sell the business and move on
