I work with great people. My manager is incredibly supportive of my professional growth.

Cons

There's always too much work. Even after hiring a bunch of new starters to help out the team I'm doing twice the work as I train the new people. Making people go back to working in an office when flexibility is supposed to be a key selling point is not a great idea.

I met some great and talented people; relatively easy to move teams within company

No appreciation or recognition for extra hours; life-work balance is poor; people are expected to work hard; very hard to progress in career; didn't like the culture and the politics of the firm.

I have not been at the business for a long time, a few months now. So far I have found: - The directors are nothing but supportive. - The people I work with are incredibly talented and a great amount of fun to be around. - Loads of benefits. - Very inclusive environment. - There is room to advance within the company. - Hi-profile accounts to work on. - People are eager to socialise with you outside of working hours.

Cons

You will still do work outside of your contract hours, but it's a more healthy balance than what other companies are asking of in this industry.

meet great people and get to go to upfronts (all agencies have this though)

completely over worked, absolutely no raises, no bonuses, only gives promotions if it helps them and their pockets

Overall I have had a great experience at OMD. There are a lot of smart and great people that I have worked with. I am constantly learning and have been given plenty of opportunities to get certified and trained in different areas of media. Great first company to work for out of college.

Salaries could be a little more competitive with other agencies but other than that everything else has been great.

Truly depends on the account and team that you are working on. A lot of the people are great and very knowledgable. When not remote the perks make up for a lot of the cons of the agency career path.

Pay is bottom of the barrel compared to other agencies (which is saying something since agencies already hardly pay). Upper management does not have a clue what actually goes on and lacks leadership skills. Again, depending on the team you are on, it can be very political cliquey when it comes to promotions (almost like a high school culture). Office is less than inspiring (white walls and gray floors). There's a reason everyone is dropping like flies and they cannot keep anyone more than a couple of years
