Preparing team members for advancement and career growth is a key focus for OMNOVA and I’m proud of our track record of success in developing our workforce to reach new heights! In fact, we recently just promoted a Production Operator to a Production Shift Supervisor in Auburn. Beyond development, OMNOVA has historically provided employees with annual wage and salary increases as well as participation in discretionary performance-based incentive compensation plans. As with most manufacturing companies, overtime is, at times, expected to help meet demands and is a normal part of business. While we always strive to create a healthy work-life balance, there are times ‘all hands on deck’ are required to deliver results and meet our customers’ needs. We encourage all employees to take advantage of our feedback program, Level Up, to help drive continuous improvement which includes expressing any concerns with their supervisor when it comes to work-life balance, staffing and scheduling, or any other workplace issue. Pros
Pay and benefits are fair. Plant employees are great.
Cons
Culture and environment are bad and they don’t value employees. Working at the plant is much better than at Beachwood where they micromanage. Best thing for the plants would be if Beachwood goes away with the new ownership.

Our company is focused on continually building a culture of feedback and communicating openly and honestly, spearheaded by our Level Up initiative. All employees are empowered to have Level Up conversations with their managers to address concerns, suggest new ideas, or provide constructive feedback. To further foster a culture of feedback, leaders of all levels meet on a consistent basis to share best practices, identify pitfalls, ensure alignment, and cultivate new ideas. While our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) members are stationed in Beachwood, the majority have a diverse background in manufacturing and plant operations—including our CEO, CFO, CHRO, and Vice President of SHE&S—and lean on their collective expertise in this area to solve complex problems at the site-level. When it comes to employee experience, OMNOVA conducts a quarterly Pulse Survey to better understand employee perceptions. Our Q4 results show the global average to be 4.6/6 in our values and leadership, indicating high employee engagement. Additionally, the rate at which employees voluntarily leave the organization is well below the national average. Revolving door for management over my division. Management does not stay more than a year.
