I worked at OMRON Corporation full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Very good VPs, all pro women and want to provide growth opportunities. Supportive to managers and ICs

    Cons

The biggest problem at Omron is the managers, self-promoting yet most of them lack experience, leadership skills and are only looking for themselves. Most managers don't even have a bachelors degree. The saddest part is the mid-aged men in managerial positions that think its absolutely alright for them to message younger women and hit on them, no fear or shame. When you report this to your female managers they ignore this and advice ' you're in a male dominated industry. It's part of life, take it as a compliment that someone is hitting on you'. The marketing department and supply chain department is the absolute worst, extremely poor managers and directors promoting poor work culture, a lot of good people have recently left the company because of them. The reason omron has not grown as a company is because of the managers blocking progress. No one is interested in doing real work but instead grab more budget for departments and self-promote. No projects are initiated unless the VPs being it to the managers' attention.

    Pros

None that I can think of

    Cons

Management is only our for themselves. You can not trust no one. It is always sad that we have to hear about any changes from our customers. This used to be a great place to work, but the last 8yrs were horrible.
