I have been working at ON Semiconductor as an intern

    Pros

Hours are flexible. The people are nice to work with.

    Cons

If you are a member of the CIM team (not an intern), you have to be on call every few weeks. This means you will need to fix any problems that arise at any time of day while on call.

    Advice to Management

Hire more software engineers. The team is so small, all their time is spent fixing issues, rather than adding new features.

    Pros

ON is reasonably aligned with the Semiconductor industry in terms of benefits, job independence, project funding and advancement. Work/life balance is reasonable and coworkers are welcoming.

The pace is slow. If you're used to start ups, you won't find the work here to be as engaging.
