    Pros

Smart coworkers, data-focused decision making processes, good tools, senior management team that has come up through the trenches and knows the details, large scale and WW footprint which allows for many internal job opportunities.

    Cons

Constant acquisition integration activity puts heavy load on many teams.

    Advice to Management

Some lower-risk organic growth opportunities aren't acted upon due to acquisition overload.

I worked at ON Semiconductor as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The small SEC office in Portland, OR is a fantastic environment to work in. The work is ever evolving, rarely dull, the small office provides an intimate team driven atmosphere, and the leadership is second to none.

    Cons

It is still a large corporate entity on the outside. Pay for interns is great but starting EE salaries are on the low side, especially considering the elevated living costs in Portland.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the terrific leadership and forward thinking mindsets. Pull some strings with HR to pay your employees better.

I have been working at ON Semiconductor as an intern

    Pros

A company which has a very good work life balance and a great work culture. Supply chain plays an important role in this company's functioning

    Cons

The growth for a full time employee may not be as fast as in other big corporations, but it's not that an issue when you get into the company

I have been working at ON Semiconductor full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very stable and management manages costs well to keep the business working in good and bad economic climates.

There is more than enough work to do and there is always a challenge and new project to work on.

    Cons

The company is very large and has grown by acquisitions so the business units are at times disconnected.

Another con would be that things tend to move slowly in a large company.

Sometimes the company culture tends to be more carrot and stick driven, but I see signs of improvement in this area.

    Advice to Management

Financially I think the company is very well run. A little more attention to the working culture could be a good investment.
