    I have been working at ON24, Inc. full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    You get to work with a lot of really talented, professional, hardworking people. The product is top notch and continues to evolve thanks to the vision and dedication of the engineering team. I can’t speak for everyone but my managers are really supportive. There has been a lot of focus and improvement over the past couple years in systems and process.

    Cons

    Need more support and appreciation from the executive level, not much flexibility or support for taking time off, lack of 401K match.

    Advice to Management

    Some of the negative reviews here by current/former employees seem suspect. You have a lot of loyal hardworking employees who are happy to be here. That said there is always room for improvement. My suggestions: celebrate employees who are doing amazing work, encourage people to take time off, don’t micro-manage, encourage open and direct communication and discourage excessive emailing, remove red-tape.     I have been working at ON24, Inc. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The product is a good one and is continually improving. I am able to work from home some of the time. The dress code is casual.

    Cons

    High turnover rate combined with poor communication from management has resulted in a generally unpleasant work environment. There is very little opportunity for advancement. The company has offices in several cities in addition to their SF headquarters. The trend seems to be to hire candidates in locations where salaries are lower than in SF.

    Advice to Management

    Be better about your communication with employees, Do things to improve low morale. Provide more opportunities for advancement. Make an effort to make staff feel appreciated.

    I worked at ON24, Inc. full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    The people I worked with were absolutely fantastic. Very supportive, smart and hard-working. The pay here was very respectable, and the product they've created has tremendous potential. All in all, I gained great experience here that I took to my next position after I leaving the Bay Area.

    Cons

    The one thing holding ON24 back might be its hiring practices. I.E., they need to hire more people. We were consistently swamped, and there never seemed to be enough time to complete the work we were assigned.

    Advice to Management

    Focus as much on staffing as you have on innovation and product creation, and the sky is the limit.

    Pros

    The P10 webcasting platform is innovative and allows you to do some cool things for customers. You generally have a lot of automony, little micromanagement, and opportunity to learn a lot about the webcasting world. It's possible to work remotely sometimes. Good environment to do things without permission first and ask for forgiveness later.

    Cons

    Lack of micromanagement translates, usually, to no management. Directors are overwhelmed and unable to provide support, guidance and mentoring to their direct reports. There are limited opportunities to "move up." On the client services side, the highest rung is as a Technical Account Manager, maybe director, but it is not a job most people would choose to do.     Create a compensation and benefits structure that attracts talent who can challenge the internal "status quo." Embrace transparency, internally and externally. Lots of energy is spent hiding "issues" from clients. Decide if you are a technology services provider or virtual event consultancy.     The company has a very good platform for webcasting.

    Unfortunately, the above is the ONLY sentence I can say good about this company. As with many other reviewers who do not hold this company in high esteem, this company is a "sweatshop".     Generally good group of staff and a good suite of products with excellent potential. Great professional experience if you play your cards well and can stick it out.

    Cons

    Company is scrooge-like. Benefits are bare minimum and perks are scarce. The company recently instituted PTO banks instead of separate paid sick time, possibly to address a small number of employees who were abusing sick time.     Advice to Management

    In order to get the company to the next level you have to "do right" by your employees. Put more trust into them and treat them like professionals to inspire them to go further. The PTO policy change reinforces an hourly-wage earner mindset. Stop padding Glassdoor with fake reviews. We are hopeful you are listening.

    - Great place to learn and develop skills. - Some good people, smart and good to work with - Located in the City, close to BART.

    Cons

    Complete lack of efficiency and highly political, defunct company that will go as far as writing fake posts about “exciting times at on24”. No communication, highly micro-managed. No direction. Good work is rewarded with more work. HR is useless. All in all, not a fun place to work. My advice, do not get stuck here. Learn as much as you can. Stay one year, get what you need and get out!

    product some good people who actually do care compensation is good for some

    Cons

    complete lack of efficiency deplorable communication between departments and from management high expectations, very little appreciation; good work is rewarded with more work hierarchical and political posting fake reviews to drive up their rating because reputation is poor in the market

    get rid of the old regime, show more appreciation, communicate what's going on in the company so we all feel like we're making a difference
