    Pros

    The benefits are very good.

    Cons

HR needs to send anonymous management review forms online yearly to employees like other major energy companies. This allows HR to see moral, harassment, and positive or negative feedback on their supervisors. Teams with high turnover rates indicate one thing and that is "A good boss at bad job is better than a bad boss at good job." Yes men are given raises over others even if they are late, leave early, and unskilled. Do not come to ONEOK in Texas.

    Advice to Management

Employees with longevity who make consistent mistakes and provide bad leadership are allowed to continue on until retirement. This is very far behind the times. If the employee is not more valuable than the first year then why keep them around.

I have been working at ONEOK full-time

    Pros

Excellent benefits. Company cc, company vehicle, very nice perks. Pay could be better but hard to complain about when the rest of the benefits are so amazing.

    Cons

Pay is based on how good you say you are, not on how good you actually are. Interviews need to be more technical and stringent. There needs to be training provided across the board and not just to operators.

    Advice to Management

Trust the guys/gals beneath you more. Don't tie our hands behind our backs and still expect us to do our jobs in a proficient manner.

I have been working at ONEOK (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great work life balance and plenty of opportunity to move around.

    Cons

Compensation is lackluster for a major company and they show no signs in changing.

    Pros

Great benefits, vacation time, excellent management and committed staff.

    Cons

Could do with fewer employees, i.e. would benefit from a leaner staff.

    Pros

The benefits and community at ONEOK were amazing. I didn't have the highest of salaries in the energy industry, but the security made it worth it.

    Cons

I was hired into a department that was overstaffed, so the amount of work I needed to do was minimal. I enjoyed my time, but didn't find it challenging enough.

    Advice to Management

It's a hard task, but it's really important to have a work plan for new employees. We had too many valuable resources assigned too few duties.

    Pros

ONEOK is a great company to work for. They have performed very well during the recent downturn, and the management truly cares about the long term future of the companies and employees. Pay is fair

    Cons

It is a larger company than I was used to, so it takes longer to change things that is ideal, but I am sure that is not unique to ONEOK.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work!

    I worked at ONEOK full-time

    Pros

I came in through the college recruitment process and went through the 3 month training program. Overall a good experience. Super friendly people. Great retirement plan. Free parking in the company parking garage.

    Cons

Capped vacation, not very competitive compensation, not a fast moving dynamic company (tough to be at its size), lots of tenured employees which makes upward mobility seem quite tough, very corporate america with dull office space

    Advice to Management

Create a mission statement and sense of values. Mandate at least quarterly feedback sessions from managers. Create a framework for assessing an individuals performance that can be applied across the company.
