    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at ORIX USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Depends on team, but a lot of freedom give (if you are doing your job).

    Cons

    - Depends on team but besides the c-suite level, managers tend to be weak as most of them lack proper management skills (experience as well).
    - Lacks business strategy.

    Advice to Management

Need to put in a proper management system. Can't have unqualified people as Senior MDs, or MDs. Too unorganized, lacks strategy.

I worked at ORIX USA full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, good pay, good bonuses depending on your top boss, good and smart non manager employees who do the work. Good C-Suite level for the most part.

    Cons

They promote people based on their credentials instead of their abilities, which makes for insecure and poor managers.

    Advice to Management

Reward the non-manager employees because those are the employees who do the actual work. Let the employees rate their manager instead of just assuming the managers are good at managing.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    met very good co-workers
have decent health and 401K benefits
    young and vibrant employees
if you like financial services, there are a lot of different choices in that area

    Cons

    too much face time required
    difficult to achieve promotion
    lack of training
    boys' club
    terrible offices
rarely gave perks like free food or drink

    Advice to Management

Jim doesn't make himself known to employees. He should act more like a leader. Good reviews don't necessarily translate into promotions/raises. Management can be somewhat egotistical and oblivious to the reality of employees' lives.
