I have been working at ORIX USA part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Japanese company called Orix is trying to expand by coming over to the United States of America. It is a necessary step for Orix if they really want to globalize.

    Cons

Con is that Japanese workers get paid less than american workers even if they are in the same position. Not fair for workers in that case.

    Advice to Management

Treat all workers equally, especially in terms of how much they get paid. Otherwise, it is a great company that is trying to expand and get bigger.

I have been working at ORIX USA full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Everyone is friendly and they have an awesome cafe! The benefits are great and bonuses too! Management is very helpful and not micromanager. Put in about 40-50 hours a week which is not bad.

    Cons

Opportunity for advancement is tough because it is a great, but small company and turn over rate is low. There are people there for years in the same position. Other than that it's good!

    Advice to Management

    Nothing! 😉

    Pros

Including bonuses, compensation is excellent if you are a high achiever. ORIX is generally good with hours, vacation time, and maternity leave. Frequent acquisitions keep things interesting and usually move ORIX up into higher classes in terms of of pay, perks, and benefits. Some A players, and a lot of nice folks.

    Cons

Without bonuses, salaries are sub-par. Bonuses are essentially deferred compensation that you end up working all year to receive, and forfeit if you leave. Corporate identity is fragmented, usually dominated by the most recent acquisition. The emphasis on the bottom-line sometimes results in a decline in quality, perks, and team-building activities. Somehow, despite its better-than-average compensation, ORIX seems cheap. It's a good place to grow until you hit a ceiling, since there is generally low turnover in upper management.

    Advice to Management

Modify the "bottom line" approach to emphasize excellence and teamwork. Encourage high performers with more than just an annual cash bonus.
