I worked at OSI full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    good experience in food processing

    Cons

some employees don't want to share their knowledge with new people

    Advice to Management

Spanish speaking and permanent employees have first choice in everything. Do not give new people a chance to learn and work with them. Everybody was new once. Can't expect people to know everything in one day. Sexual harassment was why a friend and I left. They said they were going to do something about it. Monday came around and I saw the guy back working. Temp to hire - exceeded the amount of hours needed but didn't say anything instead people who came after me were hired before me. I never got hired on.

The benefits are great and on par with benefits and perks offered by other organizations. Most staff members like their job and want to succeed

    Cons

Management is not at it's best and only surface solutions are available; don't see any noticeable accountability when there is no change in negative management styles; favoritism can be found

    Advice to Management

Rather than running the organization as a business only focused on testing theories and trends, it would be important to focus a bit more on staff and making sure the organization is providing the support equally to allow staff to work to the best of their ability
