I have been working at OSU Medical Center full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Coworkers are wonderful. Very close knit and friendly. Work well together. Great team work. Teaching hospital so you get to know the residents and doctors.

    Cons

Small facility. It's either slow or super busy. Frequent management changes has been difficult. A lot of uncertainty with each change. But overall healthcare is changing.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your employees. Many have been loyal to this hospital for decades.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at OSU Medical Center (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good health insurance: medical, dental, and vision

    Cons

Employees in this department do not want to work but would like a pay check every two weeks. They have Union representation so it makes it just that harder to get people who don't want to work out of the hospital. Basically you have to write an encyclopedia to get the bad workers out, which in turn makes it hard on the management team to do their job.

    Advice to Management

Actually this is at least OSU management team we need to get better Union reps with in the hospital.
