Strong pay and benefits; good culture, employees help each other and want to provide ultimate product and service for customer

    Cons

Transition period can be challenging, but looking forward to positive enhancements that deliver to make job easier and better for employees and customers alike

I worked at OTIS full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Otis is a good company. FSS is not Otis or UTC so dont think you will get a job at UTC with good pay. FSS has good people who are desperate to hang onto their poor paying jobs and monopolizes on employee fears.

    Cons

Too much focus on select few employees, inappropriate comments or using position to manipulate others while ignoring the lazy ones that push work on others or sleep or stand around and talk anything but do their job. FSS needs to hire management that is good with people and not mostly data.

    Advice to Management

Invest in your employees and boost morale by paying a decent hourly wage and you will find a better commitment and improved work.

I have been working at OTIS full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Established company name, job security, decent pay

Good only for fresh college graduates to gain some experience or oldies who want to retire in a dead town.

    Cons

    Cons especially at SIT Engineering-

Difficult to move up unless you are a part of your manager's "inner circle" or a brown noser

    Red tape corporate culture

Some of the managers are arrogant racist idiots

Florence town sucks to the core.

    Advice to Management

    Revamp your Engineering managerial staff.

I have been working at OTIS full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Health benefits, competitive commission structure compared to other elevator companies, autonomy in the role.

    Cons

Technology (or lack thereof), internal applications and intranet leaves tons to be desired, very limited support from HQ to local offices.

    Advice to Management

Outsource technology improvements. Having elevator people plan these things begs for disaster. Commit to more internal support for local branches
