I worked at Oak Street Health full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I made some of my best friends in the world while at Oak Street working on a problem that matters.
The team valued results and would help clear almost any obstacle to get them.

    Cons

Fond of saying that they take care of employees so their employees can take of the patients. Didn't feel that way while I was there. Definitely no love for alumni of the company.

    Advice to Management

You've built an impressive business in a space that absolutely needs work like what you're doing. But because of how so many employees have been treated, I attach a big caveat on any recommendation to join the team.

    Pros

Unlimited over time in the call center , pay , no weekends , jeans everyday.

    Cons

Management, favoritism , Too many family members work together , no monthly coachings

    Advice to Management

Allow employees to feel like that can talk to you about anything if they have concerns and not just allow them to sink without telling them

I have been working at Oak Street Health full-time

    Pros

The patients are what makes it worth coming to work.

    Cons

Co-workers are two faced and spend the majority of their day telling on people to management. Little communication about processes and favoritism is obvious. New tasks are added to workloads and new programs or processes are typically announced with little notice and explanation. Watching your back every second is exhausting because you spend the day wondering if you are going to be pulled into the managers office. Very disorganized from the top down. Little room for promotion.

    Advice to Management

It has been offered. Obviously nothing has changed.

I have been working at Oak Street Health full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Plenty to accomplish with huge growth
Future is bright based on business model

    Cons

Top Leadership in Expansion looks the other way to major problem with upper management
Embarrassing that the late night activities and personal presentation is allowed on a regular basis, everyone understands the situation
Bullying is a component of their management approach
Retaliation is also a major factor
People team is aware and nothing is done to rectify the problem
Future team mates are discouraged from working in the Dept

    Advice to Management

Positive business model, but Oak Street Ownership must truly address the problem in the Expansion team
HR has been notified with no changes
If Oak Street Health 's goal is to change the culture, it must be vigilante in it's approach to how their teams are treated

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Oak Street Health full-time

    Pros

The mission is great and a wonderful idea and the money is also good for Fort Wayne.

    Cons

The company works of off who you are and what you look like, they don't have any diversity at all and very poor leadership. The company doesn't have any opportunity for growth and the lower ranking employees are expected to do the bulk of the work when it comes to new programs being started within the company. Employees are not treated equally as the law states.

    Advice to Management

Management need to have better training and they also needed to be open minded, not have this perception of a person because of the color of their skin.
